Sunday, 27th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Lourdes O… (age 55) wrote: “That I am a sinner and I have to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior and have my life changed in order to live for eternity in Heaven. Yes, today, January 15, 2019” (lessons sent to her on January 7th)

          Praise God – “For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.””(Romans 1:17)! Pray Lourdes studies diligently and lives by faith.

Monday, 28th: Dated 01/17/19 “Dear Bible studies by mail, I get released in 4 months, sometime in mid-May. I was wondering if I’d be able to continue these studies from home? Please let me know when you send my next lessons. Thanks! Amy R…” (she began studying with other inmates on Nov 1, 2017)

          Praise God – “As obedient children, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance.”(1 Peter 1:14)! Pray Amy continues doing her studies on the inside and keeps sharing the gospel with others.

Tuesday, 29th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Bradley W… (age 60) wrote: “That based on Christ’s blood, which was shed for our sins, God declares righteous the ungodly sinner who trusts Christ as their Savior. God wants His children to be free to approach Him knowing all their sins have been forgiven.”

          Praise God – “However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.”(Romans 4:5)! Pray Bradley starts a home Bible study with friends and neighbors.

Wednesday, 30th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Beatrice T… (age 62) wrote: “Jesus is the one and only way to Heaven. I confess my sins and repent. Yes, when I received this study, January 14, 2019, I accepted the Lord Jesus as my Savior.” (lessons sent to her on January 11th)

          Praise GodThe time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!(Mark 1:15)! Pray Beatrice shares her confession of faith with her friends and family.

Thursday, 31st: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Penelope G… (age 56) wrote: “Satan unsuccessfully tries to get me not to think about God and that I am special to Him. He is my friend! I am born again, and God loves a sinner like me.”

          Praise GodBut I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.(John 15:15b)! Pray Penelope encourages friends & family to sign-up for studies too.

Friday, 1st: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD STUDYING HIS WORD? New student hopeful Shakima W… e-mailed: “To get a deeper understanding of God Himself, to be able to use His word witnessing and to speak the truth and not lies.”

            Praise God – “Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!””(Mark 1:17)! Pray Shakima studies all the first course, memorizes key verses & shares Christ.

Saturday, 2nd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Randi Z… (age 36) wrote: “That following the ways of Jesus Christ, we will have eternal life and be saved. Yes, on January 18, 2019.” (lessons sent to her on January 14th)Praise God – “He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”(Titus 3:5)! Sunday, 20th: “Hello, my name is Joshua A… and I am currently enrolled in your Bible Studies By Mail course and I enjoy it. I have served 6 ½ years on a 9-year sentence, which I am okay with, since God chose this sentence to open my eyes up and bring me back to Him. I not only desire to increase my knowledge of God and my understanding of scriptures, but to help my efforts to spread the Gospel and help bring people to Christ.” (age 38)

          Praise God – “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes,”(Romans 1:16a)! Pray Joshua lives out the gospel message in his behavior and his speech.

Monday, 21st: “Enclosed are my final two answer sheets for the BASIC BIBLE TRUTHS course. I would like to enroll in one of the following… Thank you in advance. Because of the cross, Robert H… (He began studying February 27, 2017. He’s completed 169 lessons of 13 courses. He’s got 4 courses with 60 lessons to go.)

          Praise God – “For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish,…“The righteous will live by faith.””(Romans 1:17)! Pray Robert shares Christ & challenges fellow inmates to study.

Tuesday, 22nd: “My sister-in-law was doing your studies. Because of my age, I have discontinued driving and most of the Bible studies are in the evenings. I would like to try your studies by mail to see if I like them. Thank you for the opportunity to try them. Helen D… …Billings, Montana”

          Praise God – “A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.”(Psalm 68:5)! Pray Helen receives her first lessons and does them with her Bible in hand. Pray she’s blessed.

          Praise God – “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him,”(Romans 15:13a)! Pray Peter finds another Christian inmate to study with, so they have positive times talking & praying.

Friday, 25th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD?  Hopeful new student Lorenzo S… wrote: “I haven’t read the Bible in a while; would like to start all over again.” (he requested studies for his wife Gloria too)

            Praise God – “Heed instruction and be wise, And do not neglect it.”(Proverbs 8:33)! Pray Lorenzo & Gloria do their lessons with Bible in hand. Pray they find a Bible-teaching church and join the fellowship.

Saturday, 26th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD?  Hopeful new student Elizabeth M… wrote: “I hope to find my inner peace and acceptance.”

          Praise God – “But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8)! Pray Elizabeth studies her first two lessons in quietness and then does what God asks of her.

Sunday, 13th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE YOU LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Ashley P… (age 25) wrote: “That God became Man and that Man was Jesus Christ. He sacrificed His Son to atone for our sins and only through Him are we saved. I really love how this lesson is backed with scripture and examples. Looking forward to my next lessons. I accepted the Lord Jesus as a teen, but I was backslidden for years. By grace He humbled me and called me back to Himself on April 7, 2018.”

          Praise God – “Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.”(Psalm 116:7)! Pray Ashley continues studying God’s word. Pray she invites others to a weekly group Bible study.

          Praise God – “Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”(2 Peter 1:2)! Pray Andre shares what he learns about God and Jesus through his actions & his speech.

Yes, 12/31/2018 on New Year’s eve through this course.”

          Praise God – “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”(Isaiah 45:22)! Pray Stacy connects with another believer on the inside and seeks to study God’s word daily.

Wednesday, 16th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD?  Hopeful new student Floyd L… wrote: “To gain a better understanding of God’s word”

          Praise God – “Give me understanding that I may observe Your law, and follow it with all my heart.”(Psalm 119:34)! Pray Floyd applies God’s word to his personal life & so experiences a greater understanding.

Thursday, 17th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE YOU LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Jacob B… (age 33) wrote: “Jesus defeated sin on the cross, dying for our sins, even for mine. And then He defeated death by rising from the dead, 3 days later!! Jesus died for sinners like me, addicts like me. I am saved through grace and belief in Jesus the Son of God!! Yes, I received the Lord Jesus many years ago, but I fell into an addiction to crack cocaine. I lost my family doing my selfish, terrible things.”

            Praise God – “For this son of mine was dead and is alive again! He was lost and is found!”(Luke 15:24a)! Pray Jacob feasts on God’s word by diligently studying his correspondence lessons with Bible in hand.

Friday, 18th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD?  Hopeful new student Amber P… wrote: “To learn how to incorporate God’s word & faith into my family’s life”

            Praise God – “From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”(2 Tim 3:15)! Pray Amber studies her lessons and requests children’s ones too.

Yes, on April 15, 2014. Please send these lessons to James H… ID#_____. He is 18 and wants to turn from drugs to Christ! Praise God!”

          Praise God – “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By His stripes you are healed.””(1 Peter 2:24)! Pray Glynda and James follow Christ’s teaching.
