Sunday, 23rd: “I heard of your Bible study through a friend of mine. I’d like to subscribe and be allowed to participate. Please would you also pray for my wife and children, our whole family as a whole. Times are hard and I’m not there to be the leader of my family. If you would please send a stamped envelope with my Bible study course I could promptly return the tests. I have no steady source of income. Sincerely, John S…” (At age 42, as a 1-year-old in Christ, he began BSBM studies on 12-14-2021.) Praise God – “Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved.” (Prov 16:3)! Pray John writes his family, shares his heart & asks for prayer requests; pray his family finds a Bible-teaching church.

Monday, 24th: Alma L… shared: “These lessons have been a help and blessing to us in many ways. We realize more and more just how powerful, loving and merciful our Father is. We thank each and every person who has made and helped to make these Bible studies possible. God’s word has touched many people.” Praise God – “This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.” (Heb 10:16)! Pray Alma shares the gospel boldly.

Tuesday, 25th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate Jesse F… (age 49) wrote: “That Christ died for me and my sins. That the only way to Heaven is through my Lord and Savior Jesus. Yes, on 10-18-21.” (His first studies were mailed on 12-9-21, when he was almost a 2-month-old in Christ.) Praise God – “I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)! Pray Jesse keeps studying; pray he finds another believer to share & pray with.

Wednesday, 26th: “Dear brother, my address has changed to 2430 5th Ave, Apt #…  I finally have my own place and I am going back to school to study Ministry / Business. God is blessing me so much. God is Good! Manuel L…” (He began studying while incarcerated in 2016. Released in July 2021, he’s kept studying God’s word.) Praise God – “Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, because I am the LORD your God.” (Leviticus 20:7)! Pray Manuel finds a Bible-teaching church, a godly mentor and a ministry spot to serve God.

Thursday, 27th: An inmate shares: “Thank you so much for the Bible studies. They are so appreciated. I enjoy learning all I can about my Savior. Your sister in Christ, Cassandra S…” (She has signed up 5 other inmates.) Praise God – “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Rom 15:13)! Pray Cassandra shares the gospel.

Friday, 28th: A prayer request came on January 9, 2022: “My husband Bill was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, in July 2020. After numerous biopsies, transfusions, injections and pills, they did his last bone marrow biopsy on December 28, 2021. On January 5, 2022, the doctor told us that his treatments weren’t helping and his blood wasn’t making bone marrow. Hospice will be in our home on January 11th. They have given him a month to live. I ask you to pray for my husband in Jesus’ name. Bill said either way he will be a winner, whether he gets his healing here on earth or in Heaven. Please keep us both in your prayers, as well as our families. In Christ, Sharon M…” Praise God – “Answer me, O LORD, for Your loving devotion is good; turn to me in keeping with Your great compassion.” (Psalm 69:16)! Pray Bill, Sharon & their families abound & overflow in the joy of the LORD.

Saturday, 29th: Deborah B… wrote: “I have learned that God is trustworthy and I should willingly surrender to Him. If I remember the Lord is with me to help, then there will be no need for worries and anxieties. I need to reorganize my life to be more in tune with Christ, to be Christlike.” Praise God – “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” (Psalm 55:22)! Pray Deborah memorizes verses and prays for herself according to God’s word.

Sunday, 16th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student Kevon L… (age 19) wrote: “I have sinned yet God loves me and Christ died to save me. Yes, on December 6, 2021.” (1st study sent 8/27/20; returned 1/8/22.) Praise God – “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21)! Pray Kevon studies diligently & lives intentionally for Christ.

Monday, 17th: Judith R… began studying two years ago. On January 7, 2022, she sent her question pages via email for grading purposes. She added this comment: “These lessons were difficult for me personally. But the Lord knows what I need and when I need it. Thank you.” (Her last lesson topics: Dealing with Anger, Reaction and Resentment, Turning from Bitterness to Forgiveness, Building Right Relationships and Love One Another.) Praise God – “Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had on you?” (Matthew 18:33)! Pray Judith continues to faithfully follow Christ’s example & teaching; pray she is filled with Jesus’ joy.

Tuesday, 18th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 8, 2022 at 1:40 AM, new student hopeful Lauren S… e-mailed: “I hope to learn. I want to rekindle my relationship with God. I have not been religious since my father died when I was thirteen. I don’t have family or friends that practice any religion.” (She asked prayer for her husband and studies for two children, ages 4 & 6.) Praise God – “This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.” (John 15:8)! Pray Lauren sees the truth, repents & believes in the gospel and lives trusting in Jesus.

Wednesday, 19th: During B.S.B.M.’s Christmastime break, over 180 emails landed in our Inbox requesting Bible studies by mail. One came from a mom, Michelle E…, requesting studies for her incarcerated son, Wesley B…  She wrote: “I would like to do the same study as Wesley. I hate that he is incarcerated but since he got there he got saved.” (Studies were sent to Wesley, on January 5, 2022, and to Michelle a few days later.) Praise God – “But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (Heb. 3:13)! Pray Michelle & Wesley take God’s word to heart & live for Him.

Thursday, 20th: April R… found B.S.B.M.’s website and requested studies in mid-November 2021. On January 11, 2022, she emailed B.S.B.M. her study worksheets for grading and she wrote: “I appreciate that you put the gospel in each lesson! That is wonderful! Here are lessons 7-10.” (She is halfway through course #1.) Praise God – “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” (Gen. 3:15)! Pray April shares the gospel fearlessly.

Friday, 21st: “Hi there, my name is Cynthia R…  I would like for everyone to keep me and my family in your prayers. Thank you, Jesus, that I am out of jail, but I got 5 years of probation. I am having a very hard time. I’m wanting to go my own way which is why I need my Lord and Savior to guide me in the right direction.” (Released in May 2021; she has kept studying; mailed new lessons & additional counsel 1-11-22.) Praise God – “As for the deeds of men—by the word of Your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent.” (Psalm 17:4)! Pray Cynthia finds a Bible-teaching church and a mentor; pray she avoids the ungodly.

Saturday, 22nd: Inmate Michael H… was signed up by his sister Stephanie for Bible studies, in November 2020. Michael recently shared what he had learned: “That no matter our past and our sins, if we just believe and have faith God will forgive us because He loves us that much. He willingly gave the ultimate sacrifice of His Son, so we can be forgiven and given the opportunity to go to Heaven. I’m 41 years old and a brand-new believer. God has opened up a whole new world to me. Thank you for helping me grow in Christ. Love, Mike” Praise God – “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (Jn. 3:16)! Pray Michael shares God’s truth with others.

“Surely none who wait for You will be put to shame; but those who are faithless without cause will be disgraced. Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; all day long I wait for You.” Psalm 25:3-5

Sunday, 9th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate John S… (age 42) wrote: “We are saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, not by doing good works. Yes, I received the Lord Jesus as my Savior in the year 2000. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Evans, for sending me this study. Will you pray for my family? My kids are in foster care and my wife left me. Ultimately, I ask that the Lord will help my wife to be responsible, to stay clean from drugs and alcohol and get our kids back home with her.” Praise God – “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;” (Psalm 1:1)! Pray John keeps studying and starts sharing the gospel.

Monday, 10th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate Matthew B… (age 18) wrote: “Jesus loves me and wants the best for me. Yes, 11-5-2021.” (His study was mailed on 10-27-2021.) Praise God – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)! Pray Matthew memorizes key verses, keeps studying & makes new friends.

Tuesday, 11th: Gildardo S… wrote: “I am incarcerated. [Me gustaría] I would like to do your Bible studies so I can learn more. I ask you to please pray for me and for my family. We really need it.” Praise God – “Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.” (Psalm 86:11)! Pray Gildardo receives his lessons w/o mail-handling restrictions.

Wednesday, 12th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student Melanie B… (age 46) wrote: “Jesus is my Savior. He is the only way to God. Yes, today, 12-19-2021.” (Her study was mailed on 11-28-2021.) Praise God – “For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.” (Rom. 8:2)! Pray Melanie shares her faith, connects with a Bible-teaching church & keeps doing Bible studies.

Thursday, 13th: Christine R… slipped this note in with her last question pages: “Sorry for the delay. I have had a few problems going on. My head isn’t in the right place. These lessons have helped me out so much. Keep them coming. I’m looking forward to the next lessons.” Praise God – “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” (Col. 3:2-3)! Pray Christine memorizes verses and posts them around her house.

Friday, 14th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate Felipe C… (age 37) wrote: “[El Hijo de Dios] The Son of God loved us so much He became a man to die for our sins. Yes, 11-23-2021.” (Study sent on 12-8-2021.) Praise God – “I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.” (1 Corinthians 3:6)! Pray Felipe studies with others & shares his lessons; pray he writes to family & shares his story & the gospel.

Saturday, 15th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On December 19 at 3:33 PM, new student hopeful Brandon G… e-mailed: “How to better understand the Lord’s word and how to share it.” Praise God – “May my cry come before You, O LORD; give me understanding according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:169)! Pray Brandon daily puts God’s word in first place and studies all 20 lessons in his first course.
