Sunday, 11th: Inmate Alfred H… began to study on January 4, 2024. In 16 months, he has signed up 24 other inmates. Last week, he wrote asking us to mail studies to his mother Linda and sister Kimberley. He also shared what he had learned in his last lessons: “God is the Creator of all things, and He should be worshipped for He alone is worthy of all our worship, reverence, love and obedience.” (He is 53 years old.) Praise God – “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:29)! Pray Alfred keeps his eyes fixed on Jesus and God’s word.

Monday, 12th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Norma P… (age 40) wrote: “[Yo he pecado] I have sinned and yet Dios loves me and sent Jesús to die for me so that by faith in Cristo I may receive eternal life. Yes, on April 8, 2025.” (Norma’s first study was mailed to her on March 13, 2025.) Praise God – “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,” (Ephesians 2:8)! Pray Norma keeps studying, finds a Bible-teaching church and shares her faith.

Tuesday, 13th: “4-24-25 Dear Friends, I am interested in learning more about the Bible. I was recently informed by a friend that you offer courses and materials pertinent to Christian studies. I would definitely like to begin taking courses you have to offer. Thank you, Armondo B…” (He is incarcerated in Michigan.) Praise God – “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.” (Ephesians 2:10)! Pray Armondo studies and shares God’s word in jail.

Wednesday, 14th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Angelina G… (age 29) wrote: “There is a planned reason for everything that happens. I need to fully believe this and give my life to God and truly let Jesus into my heart. I have tried and even today I feel there is something holding me back. I say the words but don’t truly believe them.” (This first study was sent to another inmate, but Angelina did it!) Praise God – “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10)! Pray Angelina truly confesses her sin, repents of it and trusts in Christ alone.

Thursday, 15th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 5 at 11:02 AM, hopeful new student Abby B… emailed: “We need to know what to study to find hope, to have faith and deal with the daily struggles, and to know God’s way.” (Studies were sent 5/8/25.) Praise God – “The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the simple.” (Psalm 19:7)! Pray Abby studies her lessons with her Bible and lives it out by faith.

Friday, 16th: WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THESE LESSONS? Seventy-year-old inmate Romer R… shared: “[Que Jesucristo es mi Salvador] That Jesus Christ is my Savior. He is the Great Mediator. The Lord Jesus prays for me. Christ restored my broken communion with God. That Jesus will return again for us the believers. Those of us who have served the Lord Jesus faithfully will receive wonderful rewards. In the New Jerusalem there will be no sickness, no pain, no sadness, no death.” (Romer says he has been a believer for 58 years, since the age of 12.) Praise God – “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” (1 Timothy 2:5)! Pray Romer shares the good news of Cristo with fellow inmates and studies with them.

Saturday, 17th: PRAYER REQUEST from Bible Studies by Mail, Inc.: B.S.B.M.’s Advisory Board is asking the LORD to provide new leaders with ministry experience. A couple who has their personal financial support or are willing to raise it. Christopher S… (age 39) wrote: “How Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and how to accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus is the only way to God. Yes, I have!! I was finally baptized December 29, 2024. I’m a new friend, dad, husband, and loyal servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen!” (1st study sent 8/15/24; 1st test pages returned 4/29/25) Praise God – “The time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!” (Mark 1:15)! Pray Christopher keeps studying and returning his study test pages to get more studies.

Tuesday, 6th: Prayer requests and comment from student Patricia P…: “I have enjoyed doing these Bible studies. Pray I get closer to God doing them. Pray my house roof will be fixed, that I get a used car and can pay off all my bills. Pray my son Dustin will accept the Lord as his Savior, get straightened up and not do any drugs and get a job. Pray my son Trevor will accept the Lord as his Savior, and that we can have a closer mom and son relationship, that he forgives me for things that were out of my control.” Praise God – “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)! Pray Patricia, Dustin and Trevor keep talking; pray Patricia shares God’s word and her lessons with them.

Wednesday, 7th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Edward R… (age 33) wrote: “That Christ came to save us from sin and death by believing in Him. Christ is the only way to salvation. Yes, I received Christ 2 years ago when I first got to prison.” Praise God – “The LORD looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if any understand, if any seek God.” (Psalm 14:2)! Pray Edward shares the gospel and his Bible study booklets with other inmates.

Thursday, 8th: “4-16-25 BSBM, May I please get more than only two study booklets sent to me? I would like to even have a whole course sent to me, which I could work on continually and then send back the test pages. Thanks, Victor H…” (He is incarcerated, a 26-year-old, who has been studying with us for 23 months.) Praise God – “Jesus also said to them, “Does anyone bring in a lamp to put it under a basket or under a bed? Doesn’t he set it on a stand?”” (Mark 4:21)! Pray Victor encourages other inmates to sign up for studies.

Friday, 9th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Anthony D… (age 63) wrote: “I learned who Jesus is and who He died for. That we need to repent and turn away from our sins. Yes, four years ago!” Praise God – “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:17)! Pray Anthony shares the gospel among cellmates and encourages them to study also.

Saturday, 10th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On April 30 at 9:51 AM, hopeful new student Elizabeth F… emailed: “I don’t know. I have never studied the Bible and I want to learn.” (First study mailed on May 1, 2025) Praise God – “Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:45)! Pray Elizabeth reads her first study that teaches: ‘Who Jesus Is’ and ‘How To Get To Heaven’; pray she repents of sin and believes in the gospel.

Sunday, 27th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Inmate William M… (age 48) wrote: “Losing my joy is a warning light that something is wrong. I need to walk by faith not by sight. I am born again. I am in Christ and Christ dwells in me. My old self is dead, and I am a new creation in Christ!” Praise God – “By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit.” (1 John 4:13)! Pray William shares this gospel truth with family and cellmates; pray he starts each day with God.

Monday, 28th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On April 21 at 6:15 PM, hopeful new student Alyssa E… emailed: “I’m looking to grow in my relationship with God, and learn and understand the Bible more, and to be able to use the Bible as a guide throughout my life.” (1st studies were mailed to Alyssa and Carter her 9-year-old son on 4.23.2025) Praise God – “The precepts of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart; the commandments of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.” (Psalm 19:8)! Pray Alyssa and Carter study, share and pray together.

Tuesday, 29th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Inmate Dean P… (age 35) wrote: “That we are made new when we are born again, except for our wretched flesh. However, spiritually we are forever seated now in the heavenly places with Christ. God makes His plan clear to those with spiritual ‘eyes’ to see it. And thank God He does, because we certainly don’t deserve it!” Praise God – “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,” (Ephesians 2:6)! Pray Dean teaches the truth, evangelizes the lost and encourages fellow believers.

Wednesday, 30th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Thomas C… (age 35) wrote: “Jesus Christ is my Lord. I need to put God first in my life above all else. Yes, on April 14, 2015.” Praise God – “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”” (Matthew 28:18)! Pray Thomas keeps studying the first course and keeps sharing with his two jail chaplains.

Thursday, 1st: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On April 23 at 4:43 AM, hopeful new student Cassianna H… emailed: “I want my 8-year-old son Benjamin and myself to walk through studying the Bible together. I have a relationship with God, and he is just starting his. I want him to have an unbreakable faith and comfort in Jesus.” (First studies ready for the mail, on 4.23.2025, at 8:03 AM.) Praise God – “Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)! Pray Cassianna and Benjamin study together, talk about the Bible’s teaching and pray about life.

Friday, 2nd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Barbara C… (age 51) wrote: “That my own understanding will not lead me to Christ, only Jesus can save my soul. In order to go to Heaven, I must believe the way is through Jesus Christ. My true journey begins now.” Praise God – “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;” (Proverbs 3:5)! Pray Barbara surrenders all to Christ, as her Savior and Lord and finds a Bible-teaching church.

He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! Come, see the place where He lay.” (Matthew 28:2-6) Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Sunday, 20th: This letter arrived in our mailbox last week: “[Saludos] Greetings to all who make this possible and help people like me who have made bad decisions. With God’s help I believe we can straighten our path. My name is Oscar F… I am writing you because a friend in jail here gave me your address. I want to know if you could send me Bible studies. I hope you can help me find the way to God.” (First study sent on 4/17/25.) Praise God – “I run in the path of Your commandments, for You will enlarge my heart.” (Psalm 119:32)! Pray Oscar does his first 2 lessons, believes in the gospel, confesses his sin and trusts in Christ alone.

Monday, 21st: James Y… came to the office last week and dropped off his completed study worksheets and picked up his next studies. He then shared a prayer request for his 25-year-old son. James said: “He has closed himself off to interacting socially with others. He spends all his time gaming. He needs someone to help him.” Praise God – “Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4)! Pray James and his son spend time talking about the Bible’s teaching.

Tuesday, 22nd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On April 10 at 4:29 PM, hopeful new student Amanda C… emailed: “I hope to strengthen my relationship with Jesus and become a better disciple. To gain wisdom and understanding from His word and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.” (First study mailed on 4/16/25.) Praise God – “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)! Pray Amanda studies her first 2 lessons, memorizes key verses and shares the gospel with those around her.

Wednesday, 23rd: “Hello. My name is Jess W… #______. Could you please sign me up for your Bible correspondence courses? My address is N… PO Box 7… Nevada. Thanks” (Done last week.) Praise God – “And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)! Pray Jess receives the study, surrenders all to Christ and returns his worksheets to our mailbox.

Thursday, 24th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On April 11 at 8:25 PM, hopeful new student Jose E… emailed: “I hope to have a better understanding of God’s word and to understand His purpose for my life.” (First study mailed on 4/16/25.) Praise God – “May my cry come before You, O LORD; give me understanding according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:169)! Pray Jose does his study with his Bible; pray he honestly takes God’s word to heart.

Friday, 25th: “To whom it may concern, my name is Marilyn H… and I am currently incarcerated at __ County Jail in Kansas. I am writing in hopes that you offer Bible correspondence courses. If so, I would like to obtain and complete all or as many as you can send. I am eager to hear back from you and to potentially have the opportunity to grow and learn during this mentally trying incarceration!” (First study sent on 4/17/25) Praise God – “Remember those in prison as if you were bound with them, and those who are mistreated as if you were suffering with them.” (Hebrews 13:3)! Pray Marilyn finds consolation as she studies God’s word.

Sunday, 13th: Pamela B… completed 3 lessons that taught on anger, resentment and bitterness. Her heart was touched, and she shared: “I have carried resentment for my mom for years. When she told me I was dead to her, I turned to drugs to stop the pain – an escape that became an addiction. My life changed in an instant. I’m really trying to let go, yet daily reminders keep haunting me. Thank You, Jesus, for not giving up on me, and that I heard Your call! Oh, I have forgiven my mom, but she was gone before I got a chance to reconcile with her. Maybe that’s what makes it so hard. I do know I MUST surrender my past to God. It’s so hard! And I know God can bring good out of a bad situation, if we trust Him. The good in my situation is I found Jesus – Amen!” Praise God – “Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)! Pray Pamela trusts and obeys God’s word, seeking reconciliation with her son.

Monday, 14th: Last week Mark D…’s letter arrived in our mailbox: “I was doing Bible studies through y’all while in A… County Jail. I am in TDC now and I would like to continue the studies. Will you please send them to my new location?” (Done on 4/7/25.) Praise God – “And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)! Pray Mark gets his next studies & encourages others to study too.

Tuesday, 15th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On April 6 at 10:48 AM, hopeful new student Jacob K… emailed: “I hope to get study information to assist me in recovery and mental health issues.” (Studies sent 4/10/25.) Praise God – “Turn my eyes away from worthless things; revive me with Your word.” (Psalm 119:37)! Pray Jacob studies his lessons, surrenders all to God, repents of sin, believes the gospel & shares Christ boldly.

Wednesday, 16th: Inmate Francisco C… wrote a letter on behalf of his daughter, Dynasty F…, age 22. “My daughter lost her Bible, and she is going through a rough patch. She asked me if I could get her another one. What I want for her is a black leather cover Bible with gold trim and a burgundy page marker. Could you please send her the Bible? Her address is …California.” (1st Bible study booklets were mailed to both on 4/8/25; Dynasty also received a letter with the contact info of a nearby church where she can request a Bible.) Praise God – “Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; all day long I wait for You.” (Psalm 25:5)! Pray Francisco & Dynasty do their Bible lessons & place their hope in Christ alone.

Thursday, 17th: Melissa M…’s first studies were mailed to her on April 9th. Here’s what she emailed back to us when she read that her studies were in the mail: “Thank you so much for helping me to draw closer to God. My husband Paul M… would love a study too. That way we can do these together. We thank you very much.” Praise God – “Houses and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.” (Proverbs 19:14)! Pray Melissa and Paul study and pray together; pray they share Christ’s love with neighbors.

Friday, 18th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On April 4 at 9:37 AM, hopeful new student Glenn I… emailed: “I want to have a better understanding of the Bible and a closer relationship with God so I can help others to learn the same.” (Studies sent 4/10/25.) Praise God – “All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18)! Pray Glenn entrusts all to God & faithfully shares the gospel w/o fear.

On March 26 at 6:55 AM, hopeful new student Melonnie L… emailed: “I hope to understand the Bible and grow in a relationship with the Lord through His word.” (Lessons sent to her & 3 kids ages 3, 4 & 6 on 4/2/25.) Praise God – “May my cry come before You, O LORD; give me understanding according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:169)! Pray Melonnie and her children study their lessons together and pray for God’s help.

Monday, 7th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On March 26 at 1:27 PM, hopeful new student Cassidy P… emailed: “I honestly want to use this as a way to get past the childhood and adulthood trauma I have endured.” (Lessons sent on 4/2/25.) Praise God – “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress.” (Psalm 107:19)! Pray Cassidy studies her Bible lessons, and leaves all her hurtful past in God’s Hand.

On March 26 at 7:04 PM, hopeful new student Norman W… emailed: “I would like to know what God’s will is for me, and to know Him better and walk closer to Him.” (Lessons sent on 4/2/25.) Praise God – “But as for me, it is good to draw near to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may proclaim all Your works.” (Psalm 73:28)! Pray Norman studies his lessons, and trusts and obeys God.

Praise God – “He sent His word and healed them, and saved them from their destruction.” (Psalm 107:20)! Pray Sarah C studies her lessons, memorizes key verses and sees herself, as God does, in Christ Jesus.

On March 27 at 7:31 AM, hopeful new student Travis S… emailed: “I hope to get closer to God and become a better man.” (Lessons sent on 4/2/25 to Travis and his mother-in-law Sherina.) Praise God – “He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)! Pray Travis & Sherina study their booklets, & wholeheartedly follow God.

On March 28 at 10:00 AM, hopeful new student Sarah W… emailed: “I hope to grow closer to Jesus, and to really understand the Bible.” (Lessons sent to Sarah and to her 3 children ages 4, 5 and 9 on 4/2/25.) Praise God – “Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)! Pray Sarah W and her 3 children do their studies, talk about them as a family & pray.

Sunday, 30th: Inmate Josh B… started to study on March 16, 2022. After completing his first study booklet, he shared that he was born again on March 25, 2022, while studying. Now, on March 20, 2025, he wrote: “This study has been a big eye opener in my spiritual walk. I have learned a lot. I have been doing these studies since 2022, and I am getting stronger in the Word. I like to take what I learn and share it with my brothers that are hungry for the Word. It’s a blessing to have you guys and the Bible studies. It keeps me busy and helps my time in jail go by fast. That’s a big perk. Thank You Jesus!” Praise God – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)! Pray Josh studies God’s word daily & keeps boasting of Christ & the gospel.

Monday, 31st: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On March 25 at 7:20 PM, hopeful new student Chris F… emailed: “I hope to learn how to deal with my depression and the voices in my head.” (First Bible study booklet sent on 3/27/25 with extra helpful reading.) Praise God – “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6)! Sue K… wrote: “God sent Jesus down from Heaven as a human so we could understand. He lived for us and died on the cross for our sins. No matter what I’ve done in my life, through Jesus Christ I can have a much better life. Yes, I was saved in my twenties, but I walked away from God 15 years ago when my husband left me for another woman. He was an associate pastor. The church family turned their back on me. Why I felt it was God’s fault, I don’t know. Now at 67, I know the only thing I lost was God. I am trying hard to make Heaven my home. Pray I find a church.” Praise God – “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.” (Romans 12:12)! Pray Sue rereads her first two lessons & takes to heart key verses that explain God’s mercy, grace & unconditional love.

Wednesday, 2nd: Trina W… (age 55) recently shared: “I’m sorry I forgot to finish lesson 12. It was by accident that I sent it back to you unfinished. I lost my father on January 16, 2025. Due to health issues, my mother who has dementia was just placed in hospice. Please keep us in your prayers.” Praise God – “The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)! Pray Trina finds hope, strength and joy in the Lord & His word as she visits and loves her mom.

Thursday, 3rd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Joseph R… wrote: “That even at the age of 34, I can still be saved and start my life of faith in God. To keep my faith in God and not beat myself down for my sins. Yes, today actually, March 19, 2025.” Praise God – “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)! Pray Joseph rereads the gospel message in his first two lessons & memorizes key Bible verses.

Sunday, 9th: Inmate Dorian C… wrote and requested Bible studies, and on February 4, 2025, his request was attended to. On March 5th, we received his second set of study worksheets and this letter: “I was reconciled with God when I came to jail last year. On December 19, 2024, I was sentenced to 13 years and a sex registry for the rest of my life. But my faith in God never left me. My appeal was submitted in January through constant prayers 3 times a day. Fast forward to Saturday February 22, 2025 – my attorney came to visit me and informed me that my appeal was approved. I thank God everyday for not letting go of me.” Praise God – “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)! Pray Dorian starts each day in prayer and Bible reading; pray he shares the gospel and encourages others to sign up for studies.

On March 3 at 9:32 AM, hopeful new student Shapiro S… emailed: “I recently received Christ as my Savior, and your studies were recommended. Candace W…, age 33, is my wife to be. Praise God – “I know, O LORD, that a man’s way is not his own; no one who walks directs his own steps.” (Jeremiah 10:23)! Pray Shapiro and Candace study God’s word and surrender their lives to Christ.

The Lord God loves me and wants me to repent of my sins, to believe in Christ Jesus in order to spend eternity in Heaven. Yes, on August 30, 2023. That’s the day I was arrested.” (Andrew’s brother asked us to send him studies on 1-28-25) Praise God – “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor 5:21)! Pray Andrew encourages fellow inmates to study also.
