Sunday, 7th: Our local jail is open again for the ministry of Chaplains David Beam and Bill Stickles. On Wednesday, June 2nd at 10:12 PM, David’s email requested studies for two new student sign-ups: “1. Inmate Lonnie G… BK#___; 2. His girlfriend Jamie R…, 174 E. ___ Las Cruces.”  After notifying Chaplain Beam that their studies would be mailed on June 3rd, David replied: “Thanks so much. When talking to Lonnie at jail, he was confused on which religion was the correct one because they all say that theirs is the right one. So, after having him read several Scriptures himself out loud, and having prayer together, he said he would love to do the Bible studies and wanted his girlfriend to do them too because she is also confused.”

            Praise God – “Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God.” (2 Cor. 3:4)! Pray Lonnie and Jamie study their lessons with their Bibles. Pray they make godly friendships and keep in touch.

Monday, 8th: Inmate Angel S… (age 30) sent this note in with his Bible study worksheets: Pray for a revival from the jail house to the White House and also in the Church. Pray for Governors, administrators and counselors to gather together with surpassing ability to do their job with a commendable attitude. Pray for my new appeal attorney. Thank you.”

            Praise God – “In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.” (Eph. 3:12)! Pray Angel starts each day on his knees in submission to the Lord and eager to serve Him.

Tuesday, 9th: “Inmate Manuel R… wrote: “I want to study your free Bible courses. I praise God that He blessed us with groups such as yours. I would like prayer for myself and my whole family.”

            Praise God – “Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.” (Heb. 10:35)! Pray Manuel studies his lessons diligently with the Bible. Pray he memorizes key verses & shares Christ.

Wednesday, 10th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Dennis G… (age 41) wrote: “That I can be saved. Yes. May 18, 2020” (His first studies were mailed out on April 7, 2020.)

            Praise God – “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.” (Rom. 5:6)! Pray Dennis studies God’s word with heartfelt hunger and thirst to personally know Him and His love.

Thursday, 11th: Aaron G… wrote: “I’m 21 and incarcerated. My celly Robert V… has been doing your studies and I became curious. Can I start Bible studies? Keep my celly and me in prayer.”

            Praise God – “And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:45)! Pray Aaron and Robert study God’s word, obey His voice and fearlessly reflect Jesus’ ‘light’ to others.

Friday, 12th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Manuel R… (age 47) wrote: “About salvation and how to be saved. I accepted Christ in my heart on May 23, 2020.” (studies sent on 5/18/20.)

            Praise God – “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8)! Pray Manuel restudies lessons 1 and 2, as he waits to receive lessons 3 through 6.

Saturday, 13th: On May 12th, Gloria P… (age 57) emailed: “I want understanding about Jesus.” June 2nd, we had her first study worksheets. Gloria wrote: “I learned that Jesus is the Son of God, He died on the cross for my sins and He did things only God could do. I received the Lord Jesus as my Savior in the 1980’s. Along the way I went back into sin. I have never forgotten about Jesus, but I know I wasn’t doing the right things in life. I am asking for prayer. I really don’t know the Bible. I thank God for you who are sending me the lessons. I know it will help me to learn a lot about Jesus Christ.”

            Praise God – “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psa. 91:1)! Pray Gloria makes repentance & submission to God a daily practice as she seeks to learn more.

Sunday, 31st: “Can I please request prayer for me? I am not guilty of what I’m in prison for. I see parole January 16, 2021. Also, I want my family reunited. My Mom and Dad have been separated for 27 years. Each of them ended up with a different person in their life, but now they are alone living in New Mexico and California. I would love for them to come back together. I am 40 years old and I have an older brother and sister. From my Dad’s side I have younger half brothers and sisters and I also have my kids. I just want my Mom and Dad to get back together. It’s been 27 years since we’ve celebrated birthdays and holidays together. Carlos M…

            Praise God – “He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.” (Acts 11:14)! Pray Carlos lives out the Good News to his family through letters, phone calls and in person.

Monday, 1st: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Daniel V… (age 37) wrote: “How to be saved and become a child of God. Yes. April 15, 2020.” (Studies mailed to him on April 4th)

            Praise God – “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)! Pray Daniel memorizes key verses and restudies completed lessons while he’s waiting for the next ones to do.

Tuesday, 2nd: Brittany R… requested studies for her family on May 13, 2020. On May 27th, we had study question pages from Liam (age 7) and Peyton (age 12). Both of them were asked, HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? WHEN?  Each of them answered: “Yes, May 16, 2020.”

            Praise God – “Tell it to your children; let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.” (Joel 1:3)! Pray Liam and Peyton keep studying with their Mom, Dad and 4-year-old brother.

Wednesday, 3rd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 22nd at 1:24 AM, new student hopeful Cynthia A… e-mailed: “I want to ask for forgiveness, repent and ask Jesus in my life again. I’m a backslider. I want to know God and His love. My husband Aaron and I both need Him.”

            Praise God – “The time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!” (Mark 1:15)! Pray Aaron & Cynthia study their Bible lessons, obey God’s voice and turn from evil.

Thursday, 4th: New student Jennifer W… (age 40) shared: “I received the Lord Jesus as my Savior around October/November 2019. I am scared because I don’t understand everything that goes along with being a Christian. I’m trying so hard but I don’t feel I’ll ever be good enough because I have to lie and do a lot that God doesn’t want us to do. I want to be a Christian. I simply have to survive right now, as I have no way out yet. I am praying for direction.”

            Praise God – “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.” (1 Peter 5:6)! Pray Jennifer submits 100% to God’s sovereignty & experiences Christ’s promised liberty.

Friday, 5th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Cody D… (age 34) wrote: “Accepting the Lord as my Savior will allow me a place in Heaven. Yes. May 19, 2020” (Studies mailed to him on May 14th)

            Praise God – “In my Father’s house are many rooms; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2)! Pray Cody strengthens his new found faith in Christ through daily Bible study.

Saturday, 6th: Bonnette R… (age 63) shared: “I love the lessons, enjoy reading the word of God and feeling His Spirit in me. I want to tell you all it’s been a blessing to me. I thank you all so much.”

Praise God – “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you rest, your sleep will be sweet.” (Proverbs 3:24)! Pray Bonnette shares WHY she loves God’s word, with family & friends, during this pandemic.

Sunday, 24th: Inmate Wayne H… started studying June 6, 2019. He has completed 6 courses, nearly 200 lessons. Plus, he enrolled two cellmates, Darrell and Michael. Course 7, lesson 2 asked Wayne: HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, PLEASE SHARE. He wrote: “No. I will when I get out of this place.”

            Praise God – “For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!”” (2 Cor. 6:2)! Pray Wayne surrenders his life to God today.

Monday, 25th: Brenda S… (age 66) is doing the 7th course also. She began studying as a 3-year-old in Christ. After completing lesson 10, she wrote: “Please pray for me. I am having some medical problems. Thank you.”

            Praise God – “Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers.” (3 John 1:2)! Pray Brenda is strengthened in her heart. Pray her church upholds her in prayer.

Tuesday, 26th: Inmate Charles J… was mailed his first studies on November 30, 2017. On December 4, 2017, he wrote that he had received the Lord Jesus as his Savior while studying. On May 19th we received his current study worksheets and this letter: “Can you please pray for Tiffany M…? She is going through a rough time right now and she is struggling with addiction. Please send her Bible studies so she can find Jesus Christ. She means so much to me and her addiction is slowly killing her. She doesn’t see how worthy she is to this world. Thank you.” (Tiffany’s first lessons were mailed May 19th)

            Praise God – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)! Pray Charles & Tiffany keep in touch. Pray Tiffany totally surrenders to Christ.

Wednesday, 27th: Inmate Juan A… shared and asked: “There’s a battle for our souls. God has given us the victory through His Son. He reveals Himself to us through His Son and forgives us. Please brothers, can you keep us in prayer?” (He signed up two cellmates, Alfaro and Carlos.)

            Praise God – “But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.” (2 Cor. 2:14)! Pray Juan, Alfaro & Carlos live for God.

Thursday, 28th: “I want to say how much I appreciate everybody who put this Bible study together. When you are bored at home, this is a lifesaver. I don’t think you can get too much of Jesus. We thank you from our hearts for all that you do. Gail B… (Gail studies with her neighbor Sabrina R…)

            Praise God – “Now we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this surpassingly great power is from God and not from us.” (2 Cor. 4:7)! Pray Gail & Sabrina live out the Good News of Jesus in their neighborhood.

Friday, 29th: “My MS [Multiple sclerosis] and I have been battling. I have been struggling with walking and talking, but I want you to know how much I enjoy these Bible lessons. I have been saved for 37 years. I am moving better. Continue to pray. Love, Melissa W…

            Praise God – “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)! Pray Melissa continually seeks and finds her strength and direction in the Lord through Bible study.

            Praise God – “He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.” (Psalm 145:19)! Pray Kenneth keeps in contact with family members; pray he shares God’s salvation in truth & love.

Sunday, 17th: Mrs. S’… call on May 12th: “My husband is Daniel S…  He had a horrible fall in prison and broke both shoulders. He tripped over something and didn’t get it cared for right away. He had surgery and is slowly recovering. Please put his studies on hold for a while. Pray for his healing. He sends this praise item: six people plus another couple have received Jesus as their Savior now.”

            Praise God – “The LORD was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, granting him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.” (Genesis 39:21)! Pray Daniel recovers successfully and returns to leading group studies.

Monday, 18th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Abel L… (age 44) wrote: “I learned to receive Jesus as my Savior. I want to be obedient to Him. Yes. Today. May 1, 2020” (His wife enrolled him for Bible studies, using BSBM’s website, on April 23rd.)

            Praise God – “So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” (Col 3:1)! Pray Abel reviews his old study guides while waiting for new lessons in course 1.

Tuesday, 19th: “I really liked lesson 12 of KNOW & GROW. I’ve never thought of any steps to take in prayer when I can’t forgive another. I am still working on that one. I do try to talk to someone who has been in the word longer than I have to get help through the situations. Sherry P…(she’s an inmate)

            Praise God – “Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Col 3:13)! Pray Sherry keeps studying and forgives as Christ has forgiven her.

Wednesday, 20th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 14th at 2:47 AM, new student hopeful Pamela W… e-mailed: “I want to know what He wants of me. I feel that He is calling me to change. I know He’s there. He’s kept me alive when I should be dead. I am a recovering drug addict and have put myself in bad situations, but the Lord has always brought me out. I don’t know why. But I want to learn more of His word and His plan. I am 54, but I feel there’s more for me in life, a lot more and the Lord is pushing me on.” (First lessons mailed on May 14th at 4:30 PM.)

            Praise God – “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died.” (2 Cor 5:14)! Pray Pamela studies course 1 intently, memorizing key verses and praying for God’s help.

Thursday, 21st: “I’ve been transferred again, sorry! It should be the last time. Please send my latest studies to …Florida. Hope all are well in these troubled times, David G…

            Praise God – “I say, “The LORD is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in him.”” (Lamentations 3:24)! Pray David studies faithfully and gets an ever-growing desire to share God’s word with other inmates.

Friday, 22nd: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Alan W… (age 31) wrote: “No matter what a person does in this world, the only way to be saved is through believing in Christ. There is only one way to God and that is through Christ. Also, I shouldn’t put anyone or anything before Him in my life. Yes. May 2, 2020, I wholeheartedly made my decision to turn my life over to Christ.” (His wife enrolled him for Bible studies, using BSBM’s website, on April 26th.)

            Praise God – “Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him.”” (John 14:23)! Pray Alan does his studies and finds a godly friend.

Saturday, 23rd: “God bless y’all through this pandemic. Thank you for these lessons. They have helped me so much! They seem to always be just what I need. Thank you! Rodney M… (an inmate)

            Praise God – “For the wellspring of life is with you. By means of your light we see light.” (Psalm 36:9)! Pray Rodney lives out the gospel to fellow inmates and the guards. Pray he writes family & shares Christ.

            Praise God – “Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time: “Get up! Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message that I give you.”” (Jonah 3:1)! Pray Donna wholeheartedly obeys God.

Monday, 11th: “Hello, I want to thank you very much for the Bible studies. It means a lot to me. I’m asking if you all could say a prayer for my 17-year-old son who struggles with depression and sadness. I pray daily. Thank you, Stephanie S… (Her study worksheets and this note arrived on 5-5-20.)

            Praise God – “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.” (Psalm 43:5)! Pray Stephanie reads her studies and Bible to her son.

            Praise God – “The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)! Pray LaQuisha requests studies for her children to do.

Wednesday, 13th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 5th at 2:53 AM, new student hopeful Alice S… e-mailed: “I hope to learn about God, so I can complete my goal of losing weight and change my trash *@#+(^ personality.” (First studies mailed May 7th)

            Praise God – “O God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary; the God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!” (Psalm 68:35)! Pray Alice learns about God and surrenders herself to Him.

Thursday, 14th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 5th at 12:11 AM, new student hopeful Catherine L… e-mailed: “I wish to grow as a Christian, as I am a new believer. I want to learn to trust Him at all times. (First Bible studies mailed on May 6th)

            Praise God – “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5)! Pray Catherine studies intently and seeks to live out her salvation among family and friends.

Friday, 15th: “4-30-20 Dear Darryl & Joan, I pray that you and your staff are staying safe with this virus. It is really a sad situation to see our country in such turmoil. I am thankful to have your studies – such a blessing. I work in a lab and I see the frontline, how sick this virus is making people. With prayers, Roberta N…(Her populous, tiny State’s COVID-19 statistics on 05/07/20: 28,163 cases; 1,437 deaths.)

            Praise God – “And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)! Pray Roberta is strengthened daily with God’s compassion and wisdom.

Saturday, 16th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 6th at 10:43 PM, new student hopeful Rachel G… e-mailed: “How to become a better soul while here on earth. I need guidance through my difficult journey in life and only our good Lord can give me that.” (First Bible studies mailed on May 7th)

            Praise God – “I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4)! Pray Rachel seeks quiet time with the Lord on a daily basis; Pray she begs God to clean up her life.

Sunday, 3rd: [Cuánto me dolió] How much it hurt me to hear that they banned the entry of Bible studies in prison. I still don’t lose hope that one day I will finish my Bible studies. I have been in prison for 17 months and I was told my day of sentencing is approaching. I ask that you pray for me. Pray also for my cellmates that receive your Bible studies too. José C…

            Praise God – “Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand.” (Psalm 73:23)! Pray José restudies his 50+ Bible study booklets with more than 100 lessons. He’s doing course #6.

Monday, 4th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student James R… (age 66) wrote: “Jesus died for our sins so we may be in heaven for eternity. Yes. April 20, 2020” (His first studies were mailed on April 13, 2020.)

            Praise God – “Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death.” (Psalm 68:20)! Pray James completes all 20 lessons in course #1. Pray he finds a Bible-teaching church.

Tuesday, 5th: “4/24/20 Dear Bible studies by mail, my name is Charles D…  I am currently incarcerated in M… County Jail. I am very interested in your studies and would like to receive some by mail. I would like prayer as well. I hope to hear back from you soon.” (Lessons sent on 4/30/20.)

            Praise God – “May my cry come before You, O LORD; give me understanding according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:169)! Pray Charles receives his first studies without any mail difficulties. Pray he is filled with faith.

Wednesday, 6th: “My name is Jessalynn G… #____  I am an inmate in C… …California. I was sentenced to 15 years to life. I was raised in a Christian home. At 31 years of age, I would like to spend my time in prison doing Bible studies. I hope to hear from you soon.”

            Praise God – “May Your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen Your precepts.” (Psalm 119:173)! Pray Jessalynn studies her lessons with Bible in hand. Pray she humbly surrenders herself to God’s will.

Thursday, 7th: “I still am confronted with troubling times, but I am always aware that I need to trust in God more during these times. I feel a lot of pain, frustration and anger in my life, as I am nearing twenty-two years in prison. I need to learn to let it go into God’s hands. I only have four years left now.             Praise God – “Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise.” (Jeremiah 17:14)! Pray Jeremy bathes his mind daily in Scripture and trusts God wholeheartedly.

Friday, 8th: “04-15-2020 [Hola, estoy escribiendo] Hi, I am writing about my lessons. I sent my last Bible study exams about a month ago. When I go to check the mail, I am hoping to receive my next studies, but I still haven’t. These studies have helped me a lot. Fernando T… (Resent on 4/21/2020)

            Praise God – “For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” (Psalm 107:9)! Pray Fernando restudies his last four courses with the four inmates he has signed up to do our studies too.

Saturday, 9th: “Could you please send these lessons to my mom, Angie L… …Oklahoma? As well, please pray for her salvation. Hopefully the rest of my family will decide to accept the Lord and live for Him soon. I am in segregation now. Brian L… (He enrolled fellow inmate Jimmy C… also.)

Praise God – “For I take no pleasure in anyone’s death, declares the Lord GOD. So repent and live!” (Ezekiel 18:32)! Pray Brian keeps studying God’s word and faithfully writing his mom and sharing Christ’s love.

Sunday, 26th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  In the past month, BSBM’s website has seen increased new student enrollment. In the past week, BSBM staff have seen increased first-time decisions for Christ.             Praise God – “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” (Hebrews 10:14)! Pray Brittany realizes in her heart that she is saved by the grace of God and not by her human effort.

            Praise God – “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.” (John 3:36)! Pray Florinda & Joseph keep doing lessons & keep in touch.

I knew this, but it’s always nice to hear again. Yes, I received Christ in the 1980’s and then I backslid pretty bad. I got back on track again in 2005, when I rededicated my life to Christ. [Greetings in the love of Christ!] I know that the Lord is taking care of you in this tribulation that is impacting the world. I know this is all for a perfect purpose that God has for us believers. I say us because now I am a new believer in Christ. Thursday, 16th: Lillie H… began studying on September 21, 2017. She has completed 8 courses and started the 9th recently. She shared: “The most important things I have learned in this course are to see God in all my circumstances and to know that God is sovereign and has a perfect will for me.
