Sunday, 11th: Tom B… requested Bible studies way back on November 15, 2021. On February 5, 2024 we received this letter: “Dear Darryl Evans, I have the first lessons that I’ll be sending soon. Umm I do however have many questions. Umm if God wants to enhance our lives with love and joy, why can one person murder another person in a split second and then give false testimony? Why do bad things happen to good people, to people who are close to God, who do good things in their life for others? I have known great sorrow in my life. I treat others the way Jesus would. Even though I do that I have been mistreated by others more so than not. So, I hope you can help me.” (I emailed Tom, on February 5th, and put him in contact with four online ministries.) Praise God – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.” (Matthew 5:11)! Pray Tom studies his Bible and lessons; pray he goes to church.

Monday, 12th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 3, at 6:35 PM, new student hopeful Sandy C… e-mailed: “How to grow closer to the Lord and learn how to turn my life around so that I’m doing everything I need to do to be a Christian. I used to study years ago but I lost my way. I know He hasn’t stopped loving me or given up on me.” (Resent her Bible lessons on 02/08/24.) Praise God – “Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”” (John 6:29)! Pray Sandy studies her lessons with her Bible in hand; pray she memorizes key verses and shares the gospel.

Tuesday, 13th: “01/29/2024 [Queridos hermanos] Dear brethren, my name is Jesús L… I am letting you know that I’ve been released from prison and I am back home now. I want to continue preparing myself because thanks to you I found Jesucristo as my Salvador and Señor. I ask you to send my Bible studies to … California. I so want to move forward with the help of the Lord. (Mailed his lessons to his home on 02/05/24.) Praise God – “This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him; He saved him from all his troubles.” (Psalm 34:6)! Pray Jesús keeps studying, finds a Bible-teaching church & employment & joyfully shares Cristo.

Wednesday, 14th: “Mr. Evans, Well, I am nearing the end of this phase of my Christian rehab program. These Bible studies and the scriptures and your personal correspondence were a part of my program. In 11 days, I get my cellphone back and get a job. I am sort of anxious. It has been over 3 and a half years. Keep me in your prayers. I’ll be getting a job at ______ Farms processing chickens. Your brother in Christ, Kyle S…” Praise God – “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.” (Psalm 125:2)! Pray Kyle sends BSBM his new mailing address & finds a fellow believer at work.

Thursday, 15th: Paul always sends his completed Test Pages by email. On February 6th he sent four Test Pages and shared: “These Bible study booklets that you offer are an amazing source of learning and inspiration in regards to all the fulfilled prophecies of Christ. Thank you for these booklets! In Christian love, Paul W…” Praise God – “Then a shoot will spring up from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.” (Isaiah 11:1)! Pray Paul encourages his friends, neighbors and enemies to sign up for Bible studies.

Friday, 16th: Linda O… wrote this on the back side of her study’s Test Page: “I am enjoying these lessons a lot. Prayers please. My partner is dying of terminal cancer. The doctor says less than a year.” Praise God – “Although God overlooked the ignorance of earlier times, He now commands all people everywhere to repent.” (Acts 17:30)! Pray Linda reads to her partner from her Bible, study booklets & tracts.

Saturday, 17th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 4, at 7:32 PM, new student hopeful Timothy Y… e-mailed: “I hope to learn to live a righteous life and to walk in the light of Christ.” (First study sent on 02/08/24.) Praise God – “He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)! Pray Timothy does his first study, repents of his sin & trusts in Christ alone.

Sunday, 4th: “[Es de gran bendición] It is a great blessing to receive this Bible study. I want to thank you for your kind attention. It blesses my life to be able to educate myself in the word of the Lord God Almighty. El Salvador is my country. Could you please send Bible studies to my two daughters and my wife? Praise God – “I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore, I hate every false way.” (Psalm 119:104)! Pray Vladimir studies & obeys God’s word; pray Cesia, Rut & Génesis study and go to a local church.

Monday, 5th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 26, at 4:25 PM, new student hopeful Wesley E… e-mailed: “I want to be closer to Jesus Christ, through His word, and get to know Him better and make my walk with God better.” (First study mailed on 2-1-24.) Praise God – “But as for me, it is good to draw near to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may proclaim all Your works.” (Psalm 73:28)! Pray Wesley studies diligently & prayerfully, and surrenders all.

Tuesday, 6th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED FROM THIS LESSON? Laura G… shared: “To know that the Spirit of Christ dwells in me and Satan has no power over me. I anxiously await His return.” Praise God – “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57)! Pray Laura invites her neighbors and friends to consider studying the Bible in her home.

Wednesday, 7th: “I surely enjoyed Lesson 8 – Defeating Satan, in The Spirit World study. I have now learned to pray to God every day. Sometimes I pray 2 or 3 times. I like speaking to God because I know He hears my prayers. I have really enjoyed all the lessons you have sent me. Sincerely, Roy S…” Praise God – “I call on You, O God, for You will answer me. Incline Your ear to me; hear my words.” (Psalm 17:6)! Pray Roy gets involved in a local Bible-teaching church and engaged in a prayer ministry.

Thursday, 8th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 28, at 3:56 PM, new student hopeful Cristina J… e-mailed: “I want to learn from the Bible and understand it, so it will bring me closer to God, and make me a better Christian.” (First study mailed on 2-1-24.) Praise God – “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8)! Pray Cristina studies, learns, understands & obeys God.

Friday, 9th: “Hi Darryl, Joan and staff, I would like to thank you for the lessons, tracts, stamped envelope and nice comments. I love all of you in the Lord. Pray for me that I will be faithful to the end. Our Heavenly Father knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows that we are not naturally obedient. We must obey God’s delegated authorities in order to be obedient to God. Your friend in Christ, Steve A…” (He is an inmate.) Praise God – “We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first.” (Hebrews 3:14)! Pray Steve keeps faithful to God, in his personal life, & in sharing Christ with cellmates.

Saturday, 10th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED FROM THIS LESSON? Rosa J… wrote: “That God blesses us when we allow Christ to rule in our life. This world is very wicked and under God’s judgment, but He has given us an ‘ark of safety’ in Christ.” Praise God – “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)! Pray Rosa shares the gospel with her neighbors, friends and checkout line acquaintances.

Sunday, 28th: HAS THE LORD JESÚS COME TO LIVE IN YOUR HEART? Spanish speaking inmate Emanuel M… (age 39) wrote: “Sí, mi familia hace tiempo buscó a Dios y yo decidí aceptarlo. [Yes, my family sought God a long time ago and I decided to accept him.] I know that He has been the only one who has given His life for me.Praise God – “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)! Pray Emanuel shares the gospel without fear and gives BSBM’s address to interested cellmates.

Monday, 29th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 12, at 9:34 AM, new student hopeful Lisa K… e-mailed requesting studies for herself and her family: “I Just want myself and my family to grow closer to God.” (First study mailed on 01/24/24.) Praise God – “Come near, O nations, to listen; pay attention, O peoples. Let the earth hear, and all that fills it, the world and all that springs from it.” (Isa. 34:1)! Pray Kevin, Lisa, Gunnar and Tobias study together.

Tuesday, 30th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 14, at 7:08 PM, new student hopeful Dontae M… e-mailed: “I hope we can learn to be a godly matrimony, raise our children in godly ways, break generational curses and walk diligently together with the Lord in fulfilling our purpose.” (First study mailed on 01/24/24.) Praise God – “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires.” (Romans 6:12)! Pray Dontae studies hard, surrenders all to God & lovingly shares God’s word with her husband & kids.

Wednesday, 31st: Inmate Matthew B… (age 35) shared: “The thing that is most meaningful to me, in lesson 8 of KNOW & GROW, is the teaching of the armor of God. It reveals deeper spiritual truths. For instance, just like a set of armor, it should be regularly used to ensure our capability of using it. This also applies to the armor of God. By faith in Christ, we take up the shield of faith, put on the helmet of salvation, receive the gospel of peace and use the sword of the Spirit. If we don’t exercise our faith, then the armor might not be as effective because we don’t know how to properly handle it.” Praise God – “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.” (Ephesians 6:11)! Pray Matthew studies with other inmates & shares his faith with family & friends.

Thursday, 1st: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 17, at 10:40 AM, new student hopeful Andrea T… e-mailed: “I hope to learn more about God’s acceptance, His love; how to forgive and to live for Jesus.” (First study mailed on 01/24/24.) Praise God – “He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification.” (Romans 4:25)! Pray Andrea learns about God’s forgiveness & is empowered by Him to forgive.

Friday, 2nd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 17, at 7:10 PM, new student hopeful Kenneth W… e-mailed: “I hope to study God’s word. But most important, I hope to apply it to my life and then share it with others.” (First study mailed on 01/24/24.) Praise God – “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)! Pray Kenneth studies diligently & shares intentionally.

Saturday, 3rd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Connie P… wrote: “That once I became saved and Christ was living in me, to take control of my life, I had to deal with sin and die on the cross with Jesus.” Praise God – “So you too must count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:11)! Inmate César C… (age 49) wrote: “That I am a sinner and Cristo died for me. That’s why He came to this world, to be our Salvador. Sí, lo hice hoy día, el 12 de enero de 2024 [Yes, I did it today, January 12, 2024]” (First study mailed 01-03-24; Answer sheets received 01-18-24.) Praise God – “That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)! Pray César restudies completed lessons and memorizes key verses.

I was told that your organization has Bible studies I could get to study and to continue my journey in getting closer to God. Sincerely thankful, David H…” (First study mailed 01-17-24.) Praise God – “I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.” (Matt. 25:36)! Pray David does his study, shares God’s word and BSBM’s address with others.

Tuesday, 23rd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Inmate José A… (age 55) wrote: “Aprendo algo nuevo y positivo en cada lección, como a vencer la tentación. [I learn something new and positive in each lesson, like how to overcome temptation.] Verses 1 Corinthians 10:13 and 1 John 1:9 are helping me mucho. I always ask el Señor Jesucristo to open my eyes to see the marvelous wonders of la Biblia. And I ask Him for mucha mercy.” (José signed up 2 cellmates for lessons: Vladimir A… and Marlon M…) Praise God – “Hear me, O LORD, and have mercy; O LORD, be my helper.” (Psalm 30:10)! Pray José, Vladimir and Marlon do their studies individually and together; pray they boldly share the gospel in their pod.

Wednesday, 24th: “My name is Angela C… I am incarcerated. When I was outside, I was doing Bible studies with you. I enjoyed them a lot. Please send my next lessons to _____ County Jail … Kentucky. Please put me and my broken family on your prayer list.” (She had completed half of course #1, in 2023.) Praise God – “Restore us to Yourself, O LORD, so we may return; renew our days as of old,” (Lam 5:21)! Pray Angela studies hard, memorizing verses & restudying lessons, as she waits for more; pray for her family.

Thursday, 25th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 18, at 1:46 PM, a previous new student hopeful Melissa K… e-mailed once again: “I hope to learn and grow through Christ, and to heal my mind and body. I want to be of service to the Lord and to find my place where I can be helpful to those in their time of need. I apologize for not answering my first studies that you sent me in March 2018. I was homeless for a bit, before I found my way again. I would love to get started again, if you’d allow me.” (First study mailed again 01-18-24.) Praise God – “For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in,” (Matt 25:35)! Pray Melissa studies and shares Christ.

Friday, 26th: “Mr. Evans, I enjoy getting your letters back with my new lessons! I have finished my amends. It was rough, as you said, but the right thing to do. At the end of January, I will get a cellphone and begin looking for work. On 12-16-23, we had a family day and my grandparents came. It was a very good day. I really appreciate the time you take to write me back, as I do these lessons. Sincerely, Kyle S…” Praise God – “So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” (Romans 14:19)! Pray Kyle encourages fellow residents, in the Christian Rehab, to study the Bible and follow Christ’s example.

Sunday, 14th: “I am Adam G… and my cellmate is Manuel A… I was saved upon coming to ___ __ County Jail and I love the new journey I’m on. Anything you could provide would greatly be appreciated. Serving God is what I feel compelled to do. Thank you.” (Their first studies were mailed on 12/30/23.) Praise God – “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died.” (2 Cor. 5:14)! Pray Adam and Manuel study together and share Christ’s teaching with fellow inmates.

Monday, 15th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? New student hopeful James E… e-mailed: “I want to learn history and facts, not personal opinion or personal beliefs.” (His first study was mailed on 01-09-24.) Praise God – “A fool does not delight in understanding, but only in airing his opinions.” (Prov. 18:2)! Pray James E studies his lessons diligently, verifies the truths taught & makes personal application w/o delay.

Tuesday, 16th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Inmate James P… (age 32) wrote: “How there is a spiritual battle and we have our own free will to choose Jehovah or Satan. Thank you BSBM for these studies that share this wonderful knowledge for all those who seek it.” Praise God – “Though each of the peoples may walk in the name of his god, yet we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.” (Micah 4:5)! Pray James P reflects Jesus clearly to all others.

Wednesday, 17th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? New student hopeful Jaclyn K… e-mailed: “I hope to finally understand the Bible. I tried to read the old family Bible years ago and became frustrated and discouraged due to not understanding. Now I feel I’m ready and God is showing me. I am overwhelmed after researching the Bible and what to follow. I am a newbie, after 46 years, and I am fighting cancer. God has given me the push! My heart belongs to Him.” (Study sent 1/8/24.) Praise God – “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matt. 16:25)! Pray Jaclyn studies her lessons with her Bible; pray she finds a Bible-teaching church.

Thursday, 18th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Inmate Steve A… (age 63) wrote: “There is nothing enjoyable about being chastened by God, but if we accept it in the right way, it will yield precious fruit in our lives. I thank you for the lessons, tracts and words of encouragement.” Praise God – “Blessed is the man You discipline, O LORD, and teach from Your law,” (Psalm 94:12)! Pray Steve encourages fellow inmates to study with him and to sign up for Bible correspondence courses.

Friday, 19th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Angelica G… (age 34) wrote: “I need to really repent. Jesus told us He’d be with us and that being a Christian wouldn’t be easy. Yes. Today, 12/7/23.” Praise God – “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!” (Jn. 16:33)! Pray Angelica remains faithful.

Saturday, 20th: “Hello, my name is Michael C… I’m writing you today to get you to agree with me and pray something that I’m believing God will do for me. I need a breakthrough in my social security disability case, so that I may receive my monthly benefits and then be able to buy the supplies and take care of my three daughters that God has blessed me with.” Praise God – “If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.” (Psalm 66:18)! Pray Michael seeks purity of heart as he studies, attends a Bible-teaching church & shares his prayer request.
