June 16 – 22

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2

Happy Father’s Day, dads! Sunday, 16th: “I would like to pick up studying where I left off, if possible. I started having heart problems and I got a pacemaker in January this year. I enjoy your Bible studies. God bless, Larry R… #______ This is my new address: _____ … Oklahoma” (Restarted sending his Bible lessons on 6/12/24.) Praise God – “Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him,” (Colossians 2:6)! Pray Larry studies diligently and shares Christ’s teaching intentionally among his cellmates.

Monday, 17th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 5, at 1:02 PM, new student hopeful Stephanie M… emailed: “I am in an addiction recovery center. I am getting a closer relationship with God. There are 150 women here if you would be willing to donate to our center.” (1st study mailed on 6/10/24 with many new student sign-up slips for Stephanie to pass around to other ladies.) Praise God – “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)! Pray Stephanie studies her 1st booklet with her Bible; pray she shares Christ.

Tuesday, 18th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Jonathan H… (age 31) wrote: “Jesus Christ is the way to salvation. God overlooks/forgets/forgives our sins as long as we repent and give our lives to Him through faith in Christ. Yes, in 2023 here in jail.” (Inmate Joseph W… sent us a note requesting Bible studies in the envelope with Jonathan’s first completed Test Pages – PTL!) Praise God – “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)! Pray Jonathan & Joseph complete their studies, share God’s word with others & pray together.

Wednesday, 19th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 6, at 9:12 AM, new student hopeful Lillian S… emailed: “I hope to learn to correctly share the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that others may come to accept Him as their personal Savior and be prepared for His return.” (1st study mailed on 6/10/24.) Pray Lillian studies her first booklet, memorizes key verses & shares the gospel.

Thursday, 20th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Donna R… (age 64) wrote: “That I am a sinner and Jesus loves me and saved me by just believing on him. I enjoyed this lesson so much. It made me emotional just to know of him. Jesus Christ is the only one to save us. Thank you!” Praise God – “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)! Pray Donna keeps studying & finds a Bible-teaching church for fellowship.

Friday, 21st: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 7, at 3:39 AM, new student hopeful Genevieve H… emailed: “I hope to understand His word with more clarity and also learn how to pray, and become stronger in my faith. I was raised in a church but lost my way because I was sexually abused by family. I thought it was God’s fault until I met my husband who preaches the Lord’s word. He explained to me about man’s free will and the flesh. Since then, I’ve become saved and dedicated my life to my Lord and Savior.” (1st study mailed on 6/10/24 with additional helpful Bible-based reading for her.) Praise God – “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)! Pray Genevieve takes God’s word to heart & shares it wisely.

Saturday, 22nd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Joshua V… wrote: “That God is real. He is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is our only way to God. He died for our sins. Yes, I believed and received Jesus Christ as my Savior, but I don’t remember the date. I just remember I was in a dark place and God showed me in Romans 7:14 why I was unable to have a life worth living.” Praise God – “We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.” (Romans 7:14)! Pray Joshua studies his lessons, shares Christ’s teaching with cellmates & encourages them to study too.
