May 5 – 11

“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”  2 Peter 1:20-21

Sunday, 5th: Stephanie M… (age 55) began studying B.S.B.M.’s lessons on October 3, 2018. After returning her first study assignment, on November 1, 2018, she informed us that she had trusted Christ as her personal Savior, in October 2018! She recently shared what she’d learned in her last lessons: “The parable of the grape vine makes it a lot easier to understand how I can’t do anything apart from abiding in Christ. Baptism does not save anyone. It’s for those that are already saved. Does that mean baptism for babies should not be done?”

Praise God – “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”(John 15:5)! Pray Stephanie practices her faith thru personal application.

Monday, 6th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD STUDYING HIS WORD? New student registrant Michelle M… wrote: “I would like to know Jesus Christ better.”

Praise God – “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;”(Philippians 3:10)! Pray Michelle faithfully studies & obeys God’s word.

Tuesday, 7th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Carlos M… (age 39) wrote: “Jesus loves me and forgives me. Yes. 4-24-19.” (His first lessons were mailed to him on 4-18-19.)

Praise God – “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”(John 17:3)! Pray Carlos finds personal space to do Bible study and memorization of key verses.

Wednesday, 8th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD STUDYING HIS WORD? New student registrant Johanna W… wrote: “I want to strengthen my relationship with God. I want to learn all I can so I can do my own Bible study groups.”

Praise God – “You therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”(2 Timothy 2:1)! Pray Johanna completes course #1 and it’s 20 lessons, before starting to lead her own Bible study groups.

Thursday, 9th: “Hello, How are you? I’m very well. I lost book 4, lessons 10-12. I have looked but not found it. I even did it but misplaced it, only the Lord knows. We had to rush to get ready for a clean dorm. Will you please resend that booklet and I will redo it? I do so enjoy your studies and I’m learning so much, as well. Have a blessed one. Take care. In Christ, Nicole S…” (She’s an inmate.)

Praise God – “Your testimonies are my heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.”(Psalm 119:111)! Pray Nicole shares God’s word with her fellow inmates & encourages them to study God’s word too.

Friday, 10th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD STUDYING HIS WORD? New student registrant Mary H… wrote: “I hope to gain a closer relationship with God through His word and to be able to defeat life’s demons.”

Praise God – “The iniquities of a wicked man entrap him; the cords of his sin entangle him.”(Proverbs 5:22)! Pray Mary surrenders all personal life matters into the Lord’s hands and finds a godly friend, as well.

Saturday, 11th: “I just wanted to send a note of thanks for all you do. I LOVE learning more about God and the Bible. Your Bible studies have taught me a lot. I’ve read the Bible cover to cover, but I’ve learned more thru your studies. Thank you! Brandy W…” (began studying on 11-28-18; doing 3rd course now)Praise God – “We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.”(Colossians 1:28)! Pray Brandy begins a Bible study group when God nudges her.
