May 12 – 18

I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5

Sunday, 12th: Alonnah C… asked for Bible studies by mail on the website at 6:00 AM, May 4. She shared: “I need help desperately and know He’s the only One who can help…I lost my mother a year ago and I have been so angry. But I have concluded that that solves nothing, except make my heart ache more. I’m ready to let God take control, because I’m nothing without Him.”

Praise God – “But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8)! Pray Alonnah lets the word of God renew her mind; pray she trusts & obeys God without delay.

Monday, 13th: “Please pray for me. I got out of an abusive relationship and I’m finding it difficult to find an affordable place to live. Every day I feel more and more defeated, discouraged and depressed. Please pray that God will give me healing, a safe place to live and a car. Please pray the Holy Spirit will convict Franklin and that he will repent and come to know Jesus as his Savior and Lord. Thank you, Cynthia B…”

Praise God – “Incline Your ear to me; come quickly to my rescue. Be my rock of refuge, the stronghold of my deliverance.”(Psalm 31:2)! Pray Cynthia studies the word, finds a Bible-teaching church & a godly friend.

Tuesday, 14th: From an e-mail sent May 3rd: “I’m sorry but someone threw my lessons away. I really wanted those, but people are hateful. I’m handicapped and don’t get out much, so people throw my stuff out. The Lord helps me every single day. I’m never alone. I pray for those haters and hope they will have their own personal relationship with God. Thank you again, Sandra C…”

Praise God – “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”(1 Peter 3:9)! Pray Sandra reflects Christ’s truth in love at her housing unit.

Wednesday, 15th: Harley B… (age 4) studies along with his mommy’s coaching. On April 23rd, Melody asked him these three final questions, DID YOU SAY YOUR MEMORY VERSE?  HAVE YOU TAKEN THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR?  WHEN?  He responded: “Yes. Yes. Today.”

Praise God – “Tell your children about it, and let your children tell their children—and their children, the next generation.”(Joel 1:3)! Pray Harley and Melody take steps of faith and work out their salvation together.

Thursday, 16th: From an e-mail sent May 6th: “I want to learn all about God and to know that I am saved! I gave my life to God in 2010! And I want to understand what the Bible verses mean. Please help me! I am afraid I could go to HELL. Please help me to know for sure. Thank you! Brent P…” (His first Bible lessons were mailed on May 9th.)

Praise God – “On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.”(John 14:20)! Pray Brent earnestly reads and studies his first two lessons with his Bible at hand.

Friday, 17th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON?  Kayla B… shared: “To be alert at all times. Satan, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour. There are so many distractions nowadays. Please pray I stay focused on God alone.”

Praise God – “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”(James 4:7)! Pray Kayla puts her faith into action by following the Lord’s nudging and depending on Him to complete it.

Saturday, 18th: Inmate Martin S… (age 56) shared: “I first sought God’s forgiveness in 1979, but backslid. Now, March 15, 2019, I truly meant it. I got locked up April 11, 2019 and I could spend the rest of my life in jail. I will serve the Lord all my life, wherever I am. I ask you to pray.”

Praise God – “Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.”(Psalm 63:3-4)! Pray Martin daily surrenders his will to God’s.
