March 10 – 16

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:20

Sunday, 10th: New student Jeffrey B… shared how he came to know Jesus as His Lord and Savior on November 19, 1999: “I will never forget that day with Pastor Rick in ____ County Jail. That was the day I began to live!! Praise God!!! Heaven is my home, I don’t deserve it, but I am grateful. As believers, we need to continue to tell sinners about the love of Jesus. God is love!!!”

          Praise God – “and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”(Romans 3:24)! Pray Jeffrey continues to study God’s word and follow Him, as he seeks to share the Gospel.

Monday, 11th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Annette N… (age 40) wrote: “Jesus is the only way to heaven. We must repent of our sins to be forgiven. Yes. Today, January 28, 2019” (Annette is a repeat offender who has previously professed faith in Christ when incarcerated)

          Praise God – “The night is nearly over; the day has drawn near. So let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”(Romans 13:12)! Pray Annette totally surrenders her life to Christ, her Redeemer.

Tuesday, 12th: “Dear Bible Studies By Mail, I am sorry it took me so long to send my work. I ask for prayer on my release date of March 21, 2019. I will be free after 18 months. I pray my parole agent has God in his or her life. I also pray to go to summer school at Harper Community College. I ask the Lord Jesus to allow me to train in my sports and to teach others about Him. Yours, Igor Z…”

          Praise God – “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.”(Eph 2:10)! Pray Igor accepts Christ’s Lordship, trusting and obeying Him 100%.

Wednesday, 13th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Michael K… wrote: “That I am a sinner, God loves me, His Son died for me and that Jesus is the only door into heaven. Yes. February 5, 2019” (his first lessons were mailed on 1-29-19)

          Praise God – “A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the ways of the wicked lead them astray.”(Proverbs 12:26)! Pray Michael keeps studying the Bible and finds godly friendships in a Bible-teaching church.

Thursday, 14th: Kelly W… began studying in 2015. He recently shared how studying God’s word has changed him: “I surrender my life to God, I shine His goodness every day, I have His peace and joy, my faith is stronger as His word is in my heart, I ask God to lead me to strangers so I can share, I pray for people I see every day, I have become bolder in telling them a little more about Christ’s love.”

          Praise God – “I do all this for the sake of the gospel, so that I may share in its blessings.”(1 Corinthians 9:23)! Pray Kelly keeps studying personally and encourages his contacts to enroll for Bible studies by mail.

Friday, 15th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Jerome G… (age 28) wrote: “That Jesus loves us and died for our sins. And that we can repent and be saved by Christ. Yes. February 5, 2019” (his first lessons were also mailed on 1-29-19)

          Praise God – “For You are my help; I will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.”(Psalm 63:7-8)! Pray Jerome keeps studying and finds new godly friendships.

Saturday, 16th: “Dear BSBM, Thanks so much for continuously connecting me to God with these encouraging Bible study courses. Mr. Darryl Evans, Thank you for sharing your testimony. Our stories seem very familiar, as I have struggled with drugs and alcohol too. Please enroll inmate Christopher S… #…  I am glad you gave me this opportunity to bring others closer to God.           Praise God – “Each one helps his neighbor And says to his brother, “Be strong!””(Isaiah 41:6)! Pray Jerry, Christopher and other enrolled inmates continue to study their courses and share God’s word.
