September 6 – 12

And do not neglect to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16

Sunday, 6th: “My name is Bernard H…  I have served 18 months of a 3-year sentence for robbery. I met bottom at 56. God had to stop me before things got worse. Drugs, alcohol and sinful living have been a part of my life since I was 15 years old. As a child of mental, physical and spiritual abuse, I sought chemicals to deal with the molested child in me. My children of 4 different mothers have never been a part of my life. I doubt they or my siblings even know I am in here. Yes, I am alone, but not really. I have the LORD in my heart. The LORD has placed on my heart to someday go to the street and minister to those who are lost, as I was.”

Praise God – “For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” (Hebrews 12:6)! Pray Bernard continues studying his Bible and memorizes key verses from the lessons he does.

Monday, 7th: Inmate Francisco R… wrote: “I send this letter to ask you to help my brothers get this Bible course. English studies for Trey T… ID#_____ and Spanish studies for Ricardo J… ID#_____. Please pray for them. Thank you and God bless you.”

Praise God – “A generous soul will prosper, and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25)! Pray Francisco, Trey and Ricardo study on their own and then get together to share and pray.

Wednesday, 9th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate John A… (age 53) wrote: “That Jesus loves me and died on the cross for my sins and everybody else’s. These lessons opened my eyes to see that God loves me and all the people in this world. Yes. August 26, 2020.” (lessons sent 8-17-20)

Praise God – “He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)! Pray John redoes & shares his completed lessons, as he waits for next ones.

Thursday, 10th: “Dear Darryl & Joan Evans, I would like to thank you for my new Bible study course. I fell off the right path and got so lost I couldn’t find it again. That’s why I’m here now. I am looking at 5 to 20 years in the federal penitentiary. I would appreciate your prayers while I go through this. Thank you. Sincerely, Micheal A…

Praise God – “So you will follow in the ways of the good, and keep to the paths of the righteous.” (Proverbs 2:20)! Pray Micheal studies all the lessons sent; pray good fellowship, with other inmates, is found.

Friday, 11th: A current student wrote: “A family member has recently given his heart over to our Lord Jesus Christ, on June 16, 2020. He has given me permission to request Bible studies. I think it will help him in his new walk with the Lord. He is Charles K… ____, Texas. Sincerely, Jean K…

Praise God – “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” (Proverbs 11:30)! Pray Jean and Charles find godly fellowship with other believers and share the gospel with neighbors.

Praise God – “I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore, I hate every false way.” (Psalm 119:104)! Pray Lynnette studies diligently & daily surrenders herself to Christ; pray she shares of Christ’s love.
