October 7 – 13

“I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” Galatians 2:20a

Sunday, 7th: When asked WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Scott C… (age 37) wrote: “It is much easier to take the easy road of sin. It is harder to live a Christian life, on the narrow road, but the reward is much greater! Yes. I recommitted my life today 9-14-18.”

Praise God – “Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”(Hebrews 12:3)! Pray Scott fills his mind with God’s thoughts about him and His plans for the day.

Monday, 8th: “Sorry for the delay on my Bible studies but I’ve been real sick. I am getting up again to do things. These are my lesson tests where I left off. Please pray for me and my family. Thank you, Annette S… (5 ½ months between mailing out and receiving back)

Praise God – “Without growing weary, you have persevered and endured many things for the sake of My name.”(Revelation 2:3)! Pray Annette returns to Bible reading and renews her first love in the Lord Jesus.

Tuesday, 9th: Inmate Luís R… shared: “¿Cómo están? [How are you?]  I did all I could to do this study. We’ll see how I did with my grades. I ask God to give me understanding and wisdom. I ask you to pray for me and for mi familia also, Kimberly, Kassy, Kaelyn and Ryan Eli. Gracias hermanos”

Praise God – “The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”(Galatians 2:20b)! Pray Luís starts his day on his knees with his Bible open, seeking God’s guidance.

Wednesday, 10th: When asked WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Diego M… (age 31) wrote: “El Hijo de Dios [The Son of God] loved us so much that He became a Man to die for our sins. Sí. Today, right now in prison.”

Praise God – “He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”(1 John 2:2)! Pray Diego finds another Spanish speaking inmate who is mature in his faith.

Thursday, 11th: Angela B… finds BSBM’s website and requested studies for herself in Sweden and for a couple in California, Mr. & Mrs. J…  What does Angela desire to learn from God studying the Bible? She wrote: “I’m hoping to get closer to Jesus and his people. I hope to get insight through the correspondence studies with guidance received by the Holy Spirit. In life, I hope to be a better person, so I can be called a true Christian.”

Praise God – “But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”(1 Corinthians 2:10)! Pray Angela and Mr. & Mrs. J… find a Bible-teaching church nearby.

Friday, 12th: Inmate Asgia-Ji H… wrote: “Last year in December, you sent me a fantastic study ‘My New Life in Christ’ and a little booklet ‘A Basic Study of New Testament Scriptures’. I have been using them for myself as a reference to help me as I’m teaching others here in prison. I have seven students currently but with moves, it fluctuates constantly. My case has been reopened based on factual innocence. Once I am exonerated and freed from here, I am going into ministry for the rest of my life to serve my Lord. Most of the people around will be LDS and FLSD. Your studies will be absolutely perfect for them, to guide them into the truth they have been led away from.” (he is in Utah)

Praise God – “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have a rich understanding. His praise endures forever!”(Psalm 111:10)! Pray Asgia-Ji begins each day surrendered to God.

Saturday, 13th: When asked WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student Paul F… (age 54) wrote: “We have to believe in our Savior and trust him with all, so we can go home to Heaven. Yes, I have. Today on 9-23-2018.”

Praise God – “They replied, “Have faith in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved!””(Acts 16:31a)! Pray Paul shares his decision to believe in Jesus and trust Him as his Savior with family, friends & workmates.
