November 5 – 11

“And love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:10

Sunday, 5th: WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS COURSE? Here is Patrice L…’s response after completing the Practical Christian Living course: “I have learned to value the love of friendship and how the love of money is destructive. I’ve learned the lesson of how to have a happy Christian life which is saying God is sovereign in all my circumstances. This course has helped me so much.” (She began to study as a homeless shelter resident in 2017. In February 2022, she gave us her new personal address. PTL!) Praise God – “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows” (1 Tim. 6:10)! Pray Patrice shares her faith.

Monday, 6th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On October 27, at 8:03 PM, hopeful new student Susan W… e-mailed: “Why am I here? Why doesn’t God just wipe out all of humanity and start over?” (Her first study was mailed on 11-2-2023.) Praise God – “You guide me with Your counsel, and later receive me in glory.” (Psalm 73:24)! Pray Susan studies the first booklet and returns her Test Pages to us; pray she repents and believes in Christ alone.

Tuesday, 7th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Andrea S… (age 33) wrote: “That we can die two deaths, the physical and spiritual, but God wants us all to think about Jesus because He wants to be our friend. God makes everything work in His favor. He never messes up with His believers who love Him. God never changes!” Praise God – “I tell you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.” – Jesus (Lu. 12:4)! Pray Andrea encourages her friends & neighbors to sign up for Bible studies by mail.

Wednesday, 8th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Beily M… (age 36) wrote: “I’ve learned that Christ died for us sinners to save us and deliver us. Yes, I received Jesus as my Savior on 10-23-2023.” (Beily’s mother-in-law requested this study and it was mailed to Beily on 10-19-2023.) Praise God – “You save an afflicted people, but Your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down.” (2 Samuel 22:28)! Pray Beily finds a cellmate believer for friendship; pray he keeps studying and shares his faith.

Thursday, 9th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Paul W… (age 58) wrote: “That baptism does not save or help save anyone. It is for those who are already saved. I failed to understand this until I read this Bible study. Thank the Lord!” (As a 14-month-old born again believer, he is studying My New Life In Christ course.) Praise God – “Those who embraced his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to the believers that day.” (Acts 2:41)! Pray Paul encourages family, friends and neighbors to study the Bible.

Friday, 10th: On 10/31/23 Tina J… returned her study worksheets and shared a prayer concern: “My husband has been going through a lot and has been having procedures done for his heart and esophagus.” Praise God – “I cry to You, O LORD: “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”” (Psalm 142:5)! Pray Tina & her husband study & pray together; pray they cast all their cares upon the Lord and rest.

Saturday, 11th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Anthony D… (age 39) wrote: “Who Jesus Christ is and what He means to me. That I am a sinner, but I repent and stay on the narrow road in my new life in Christ. Yes, on July 29, 2021. P.S. Would you be interested in helping me buy a $325 TV? I have $100 saved.” Praise God – “But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7:14)! Pray Anthony keeps studying; pray he starts a study in his pod with interested cellmates.
