November 19 – 25

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all.” Psalm 34:19

Sunday, 19th: On Saturday, October 7th, Tiffany P… (age 37) found BSBM’s website and requested studies for herself and her two teenage children. We received Tiffany’s study worksheets on November 7th. She shared: “I learned how to get to heaven and be with Jesus.” (She is a 1-month-old in Christ.) Praise God – “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)! Pray Tiffany keeps studying, shares her faith and finds a Bible-teaching church; pray her 2 kids do their studies.

Monday, 20th: “Thank you for this Bible study. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was seven years old, in 1986. It was on the steps of my church with my AWANA teacher and my mother. I have quite a bit of Bible knowledge but I struggle to apply it. I have struggled with drug addiction for a good portion of my life. I am pretty sure I’m where God needs me for now. He has used me to share the word with many in jail. Two men released went to church with my wife, dedicated their lives to Christ and were baptized. Your study has helped me to share the gospel clearer with other inmates without speech stumbling. Please pray for me, I have some legal troubles but I mostly just want to be where God needs me. And I am hoping that is at home with my wife and son. They need me and I need them. Thank you, David S…” Praise God – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)! Pray David meditates on God’s word, confesses sin & totally trusts in Christ.

Tuesday, 21st: “Dear brother or sister of Bible Studies by Mail, I don’t know who you are, but what I know is that you have not only checked my answers but you have also added a little message of encouragement and a Bible text. That little detail means a lot to me and I just want to let you know I appreciate it. Thank you very much! God bless you! Your brother in Christ, Jonatan P…” (He is an inmate.) Praise God – “Remember those in prison as if you were bound with them, and those who are mistreated as if you were suffering with them.” (Hebrews 13:3)! Pray Jonatan shares Christ’s message of hope.

Wednesday, 22nd: “Con mucho [With much] appreciation I want to thank you for the Bible course you sent me. I have never studied a Bible course in my life. It is very interesting. Thank you for what you do, José A…” Praise God – “Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life.” (John 6:47-48)! Pray José keeps reading his studies; pray he believes in Christ, repents of his sin & shares the gospel truth.

Thursday, 23rd: Happy Thanksgiving Day! ¡Feliz Día de Acción de Gracias! Those of us handling our student mail and Bible lessons often read: “Thank you for the studies!” “¡Gracias por los estudios!” Praise God – “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, that He considered me faithful and appointed me to service.” (1 Timothy 1:12)! Pray BSBM’s board, staff & missionaries serve God faithfully.

Friday, 24th: On November 15th, a student emailed: “Keep me in your prayers, please. I have had eleven strokes; one heart attack and I’m just trying to regain my strength and memory. The Lord has brought me a long way. Thank you again for all your help and may God continue to bless you in all of your endeavors according to His will. Thank you, Luwanda B…” Praise God – “As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I will be satisfied in Your presence.” (Psalm 17:15)! Pray Luwanda regains her memory and strength; pray her family is supportive.

Saturday, 25th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On November 13, at 2:35 PM, hopeful new student Amber G… e-mailed: “I want to learn and be more equipped in answering questions that non-believers have, and believers have as well. And I want to help my family and friends who are going through tough and grievous times.” (First study mailed 11/16/23.) Praise God – “Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.” (2 Cor. 3:5)! Pray Amber studies diligently and finds confidence in Christ alone.
