November 12 – 18

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:11

Sunday, 12th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On November 6, at 1:41 PM, hopeful new student Brandy H… e-mailed: “I want to learn my purpose and how to live right, by God’s standards, to the best of my ability.” (She also signed up her husband & four children, ages 5 to 17.) Praise God – “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5)! Pray Brandy and her family study, share & pray about things together.

Monday, 13th: Robert C… found BSBM’s website and requested studies on August 13, 2023. When asked what he wanted to learn, he shared: “I’m preparing to go back into ministry on the mission field. I would love to expand my studies and preparation.” On 11-10-23 we read this on Robert’s study worksheets: “I’m heading to Wales in the Spring of 2024 for a musical mission trip! Thanks for your prayers!” (He is 71-years-young.) Praise God – “Then I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.” (Psalm 35:18)! Pray Robert diligently prepares the music and the message God lays on his heart for the Welsh.

Tuesday, 14th: “11-4-2023 I would like to start off by saying thank you for sending these Bible correspondence studies. I am a Christian and I live in a faith-based rehab house. I spent three years in prison for a probation violation and my mom passed away before my release. It’s so amazing I can give all these burdens to Christ and He strengthens me. I look forward to receiving the next set of lessons. Sincerely, Kyle S…” Praise God – “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” (Psalm 55:22)! Pray Kyle finds daily strength in the Lord; pray he shares the gospel w/o fear.

Wednesday, 15th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Anthony S… (age 39) wrote: “The only way to Heaven is by being saved! And all I have to do to receive Jesus is to repent and ask Him to be my Savior. Yes. Today.” (This study was mailed to him on 10/18/23; we received his study worksheets on 11/8/23.) Praise God – “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10)! Pray Anthony memorizes key verses, rereads his study booklets & shares Christ.

Thursday, 16th: An inmate began studying in September 2022. After completing half of course #1, he recently shared: “It seems that TDCJ’s new mail policy has made it impossible to receive correspondence Bible courses, so I will be forced to unenroll from your Bible study program. I am sorry to be forced into this decision, but it would be unfair to you and your organization to continue to pay for postage just to have your material sent back. Thank you for everything, Joseph B…” Praise God – “For we wanted to come to you—indeed I, Paul, tried again and again—but Satan obstructed us.” (1 Thess. 2:18)! Pray Joseph’s prison and other ones reverse their ban on paper Bible studies.

Friday, 17th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On November 6, at 9:32 AM, hopeful new student Wanda J… e-mailed: “That is between me and God.” (Mailed 11/9/23.) Praise God – “Test me, O LORD, and try me; examine my heart and mind.” (Psalm 26:2)! Pray Wanda studies her first booklet with her Bible; pray she hears God’s voice, asks Him for help and puts it into practice.

Saturday, 18th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Tonya K… (age 55) wrote: “Most meaningful to me, from lesson 8, is learning about the full armor of God. It is important to learn this, so we can be successful when the enemy comes against us, as he does every day and in all ways.” Praise God – “And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:17)! Pray Tonya lovingly shares the gospel and her testimony with neighbors and coworkers.
