May 17 – 23

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.Isaiah 12:3

Sunday, 17th: Mrs. S’… call on May 12th: “My husband is Daniel S…  He had a horrible fall in prison and broke both shoulders. He tripped over something and didn’t get it cared for right away. He had surgery and is slowly recovering. Please put his studies on hold for a while. Pray for his healing. He sends this praise item: six people plus another couple have received Jesus as their Savior now.”

Praise God – “The LORD was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, granting him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.” (Genesis 39:21)! Pray Daniel recovers successfully and returns to leading group studies.

Monday, 18th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Abel L… (age 44) wrote: “I learned to receive Jesus as my Savior. I want to be obedient to Him. Yes. Today. May 1, 2020” (His wife enrolled him for Bible studies, using BSBM’s website, on April 23rd.)

Praise God – “So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” (Col 3:1)! Pray Abel reviews his old study guides while waiting for new lessons in course 1.

Tuesday, 19th: “I really liked lesson 12 of KNOW & GROW. I’ve never thought of any steps to take in prayer when I can’t forgive another. I am still working on that one. I do try to talk to someone who has been in the word longer than I have to get help through the situations. Sherry P…(she’s an inmate)

Praise God – “Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Col 3:13)! Pray Sherry keeps studying and forgives as Christ has forgiven her.

Wednesday, 20th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 14th at 2:47 AM, new student hopeful Pamela W… e-mailed: “I want to know what He wants of me. I feel that He is calling me to change. I know He’s there. He’s kept me alive when I should be dead. I am a recovering drug addict and have put myself in bad situations, but the Lord has always brought me out. I don’t know why. But I want to learn more of His word and His plan. I am 54, but I feel there’s more for me in life, a lot more and the Lord is pushing me on.” (First lessons mailed on May 14th at 4:30 PM.)

Praise God – “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died.” (2 Cor 5:14)! Pray Pamela studies course 1 intently, memorizing key verses and praying for God’s help.

Thursday, 21st: “I’ve been transferred again, sorry! It should be the last time. Please send my latest studies to …Florida. Hope all are well in these troubled times, David G…

HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Alan W… (age 31) wrote: “No matter what a person does in this world, the only way to be saved is through believing in Christ. There is only one way to God and that is through Christ. Also, I shouldn’t put anyone or anything before Him in my life. Yes. May 2, 2020, I wholeheartedly made my decision to turn my life over to Christ.” (His wife enrolled him for Bible studies, using BSBM’s website, on April 26th.)

Praise God – “Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him.”” (John 14:23)! Pray Alan does his studies and finds a godly friend.
