May 15 through 21

“Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39

Sunday, 15th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate Aurelio S… (age 36) wrote: “That Jesus is a friend of sinners. He will never turn anyone away that comes to Him. Yes. Today 5/3/22.” (His first studies were mailed on 4/28/22.) Praise God – “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)! Pray Aurelio keeps studying the lessons and returning their worksheets for processing.

Monday, 16th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 12, at 7:59 AM, a student of 10 years ago, Bob B… e-mailed: “This will help, I am a fire department chaplain.” Praise God – “Be diligent in these matters and absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.” (1 Timothy 4:15)! Pray Bob picks up studying where he left off and totally trusts the Lord to help him.

Tuesday, 17th: “5-3-22 [Hola] Hi brothers at correspondence Bible studies. I am in ___ County Prison. A while back I completed your Bible correspondence courses and I would like to study them again from the beginning. Thanks for all you do for us. Your brother in Cristo, Ray A… #___ P.S. I need Spanish studies. Gracias.” (His 4th time to study the Spanish courses. He began studying, in February 2008, as a 6-month-old in Christ.) Praise God – “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for Thee, O God.” (Psalm 42:1)! Pray Ray leads a Bible study among fellow inmates who speak Spanish and English, since he is bi-lingual.

Wednesday, 18th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 12, at 3:18 AM, new student hopeful Darren R… e-mailed: “To draw closer to God. He will always forgive us.” Praise God – “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)! Pray Darren studies his Bible lessons diligently, returns his study worksheets and encourages others to study.

Thursday, 19th: New student inmate Jade L… (age 38) completed her first two lessons and shared what she’d learned and when she’d received Jesus as her Savior: “There is one true God who created me and wants to have a personal relationship with me. He sent Jesus Christ here on earth for my salvation. The Bible is inspired by God Himself. It’s the truth and I can trust it to be my guide. I am a sinner and I need a Savior, if I want to have an eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ. The only way to go there is through receiving Jesus as my personal Savior. By grace I am saved, not by my works. I received the Lord Jesus as my Savior in August 2018.” Praise God – “But I will sing of Your strength and proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning. For You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” (Psalm 59:16)! Pray Jade proclaims Christ’s love among others.

Friday, 20th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On May 11, at 11:59 PM, new student hopeful Bruce T… e-mailed: “What His will is for my life.” Praise God“And whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:27)! Pray Bruce diligently studies his Bible lessons, memorizes key verses and lives out God’s truth daily.

Saturday, 21st: Daphne H… did her first two lessons in January 2022. On May 8, 2022, she emailed: “I was doing a Bible study… You sent me My New Life in Christ. I did one and sent it back. You sent me 2 more and I was incarcerated for 26 days and all my possessions were lost. I am currently job searching. I fled from an abusive relationship. I am staying at this homeless shelter ___ Florida. This is my email, if you need to reach me. I don’t have a phone right now. Thank you so much!” Early on May 9th, we let her know that her next 2 study booklets were ready for the mail. At 3:48 PM, Daphne replied to our email: “I went to a job interview and was hired. I have been so happy and at peace since starting over.” (At 48, she’s starting over with Christ.) Praise God – “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.” (Psalm 50:15)! Pray Daphne finds a Bible-teaching church, a godly female mentor and shares the gospel lovingly.
