July 5 – 11

July 5 – 11

“Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” On the contrary, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” Romans 12:19-21

Sunday, 5th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 20th at 10:21 PM, new student hopeful Danae C… e-mailed: “I have never read the Bible. I want to know if he is a just God.”

Praise God – “But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.” (2 Peter 3:13)! Pray Danae does the study, repents of her sin & believes in Him.

Monday, 6th: Quinten C… (age 41): “I am going to parole soon and could use prayers. Also, I was wondering if I could get a Letter of Recommendation from you, please?” (He began studying 14 months ago and has only completed one course. Three courses are necessary for such a letter to be considered.)

Praise God – “For I hope in You, O LORD; You will answer, O Lord my God.” (Psalm 38:15)! Pray Quinten truly hungers to know God, diligently studies His word to gain Christ’s mind and hopes in Him alone.

Tuesday, 7th: Inmate Paula M… (age 36) shared: “God makes no mistakes. He is perfect and knows what He is doing, His will and purpose will prevail. My son-in-law was recently charged with deliberate homicide. I cried tonight and have continually prayed that he opens his heart to the LORD. His name is Z__. My daughter’s name is G__. Please pray for her to let God in her life as well. And pray for the victim’s mother, K__.”

Praise God – “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7)! Pray Paula keeps sharing Jesus with clarity among family and inmates.

Wednesday, 8th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Amanda J… (age 28) wrote: “God loves me. He forgives me from all my sins. Yes, June 15, 2020.” (study sent June 9, 2020)

Praise God – “Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”” (Luke 7:48)! Pray Amanda finds a quiet place to study and pray; pray she finds a believer on the inside; pray she shares her faith story.

Thursday, 9th: “June 24, 2020 Dear Friends, Greeting from Love above! How are you today? Hopefully fine. I am fine. Thank you for always sending me Bible studies. Sorry for having it so long. But I sure needed this. I was going the wrong way. I am in a big family and always helping mom care for them too. There are 7 boys and 4 girls. Today is a nice day. So, the little ones are outdoors playing very happy. With love, Polly H… (She is 14 and requested studies for her brother, Andrew, age 13.)

Praise God – “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:20)! Pray Polly & her family have daily Bible reading, sharing & prayer; pray her parents will lead the time.

Friday, 10th: “I am writing to ask if you can add me to your Bible studies by mail. I am in confinement at this time in my life and would love to learn more about God’s word. Truly, John R…

Praise God – “I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are righteous, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.” (Psalm 119:75)! Pray John gets his study packet without any prison facility mail handling holdups.

Saturday, 11th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 23rd at 3:50 PM, new student hopeful Kimberly H… e-mailed: “To live and be a better person for God, to teach others the gospel truth and the unconditional love that God gives you.”

Praise God – “And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth—the gospel of your salvation—you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,” (Eph. 1:13)! Pray Kim shares the gospel story through godly walk & talk.
