July 18 – 24

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:12-15

Sunday, 18th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On July 15 at 1:45 PM, new student hopeful Rooney R… e-mailed to request studies for herself and Vivienne: “I am her grandma and I want to learn the Bible with her.” (Studies sent 7/15/21) Praise God – “The goal of our instruction is the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith.” (1 Timothy 1:5)! Pray Rooney and Vivienne study and pray together.

Monday, 19th: LIST THINGS YOU HAVE LEARNED THAT, WITH GOD’S HELP, WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Inmate Colt B… (age 38) wrote: “We are to bear with one another and help build each other up. Our faith is what saves us, not works, but we are still to have works to show our love for what Jesus did for us.” Praise God – “So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead.” (James 2:17)! Pray Colt desires to be Christ-like toward other inmates; pray they desire to study God’s word too.

Tuesday, 20th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Inmate Juan I… (age 57) shared: “That it’s not my will be done, it is the Lord’s will that will be done in my life. God is just to forgive me for my sins. I know I just need to let God handle it.” Praise God – “He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus.” (Romans 3:26)! Pray Juan surrenders himself daily.

Wednesday, 21st: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate John S… (age 26) wrote: “God’s actual purpose for the ten commandments was to show us what sin is and that we’re all sinners and need a Savior. Yes, today, 6-25-2021.” (First studies sent 6/21/21) Praise God – “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all” (1 Tim. 2:5-6a)! Pray John keeps studying.

Thursday, 22nd: “7-8-21 Dear Bible Studies By Mail, is it true that suicide is an unforgivable sin that sends you to hell forever? I personally suffer with anger, anxiety and depression. What do you suggest to do or pray to combat these things? Adrian V…” (He is an inmate and a new believer) Praise God – “But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin.” (Mark 3:29)! Pray Adrian reads 5 helpful documents & keeps doing his lessons.

Friday, 23rd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Inmate Lars I… (age 53) shared: “God can bring good out of a bad situation if we trust Him. Self-control is giving up total control of myself to God.” Praise God – “And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)! Pray Lars shares God’s truth boldly.

Saturday, 24th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On July 16 at 2:29 AM, new student hopeful Susan C… e-mailed: “I hope to gain a better understanding of the Word and increase my desire to study and improve my life by applying what I learn.” (Studies sent this week) Praise God – “Whoever turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable.” (Proverbs 28:9)! Pray Susan trusts in God’s word and obeys His voice without hesitancy.
