July 17 to 23

“I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” Psalm 104:33

Sunday, 17th: Karon W… (age 65) began studying in February 2020. Upon completing her thirteenth correspondence Bible course last week, she wrote: “These lessons have helped me to understand my feelings about things I’m dealing with and that person. All the time I used to say, I can’t stand certain people, but I realize you need to love everyone. I prayed and asked God to forgive me and heal my heart and let me be a good person to everyone. I must share His word with everyone.” Praise God – “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against any of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.” (Leviticus 19:18)! Pray Karon strikes up a conversation with these ‘certain people’.

Monday, 18th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student Amber C… (age 28) wrote: “When a sinner repents God gains His place in their life. Yes, July 7, 2022, while doing this lesson.” (Her first study was mailed on 6/15/22.) Praise God – “I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” (Isa. 44:22)! Pray Amber memorizes key verses, shares Christ & finds a church.

Tuesday, 19th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate Larry B… (age 54) wrote: “Jesus is the way. Repent and accept Christ. Yes, many times through life.” Praise God – “Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithfulness; According to the greatness of Your compassion, wipe out my wrongdoings.” (Psa. 51:1)! Pray Larry studies diligently & shares intentionally.

Wednesday, 20th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On July 13, at 11:13 PM, new student hopeful Thresa J… e-mailed: “My daughter and son-in-law and my mother and I have all rededicated our lives to the Lord. We want to study together at home and we are looking for a good church to attend. We all want and need this.” (First studies with additional help were mailed on 7-14-22.) Praise God – “But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (Heb. 3:13)! Pray Thresa, Erica, Mark & Glenda find a Bible-teaching church.

Thursday, 21st: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate Elías A… (age 19) wrote: “El Señor Jesús [The Lord Jesus] came to this world to be our Savior. Yes, about 5 years ago. Thanks for sending me this study. It helped me understand many things. I ask you to pray for my family, as I am in jail. Everything is in His hands.” Praise God – “Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph. 6:4)! Pray Elías takes God’s word to heart and obeys Christ’s teaching.

Friday, 22nd: Inmate student Justin T… (age 40) shared: “I’ve been struggling in my marriage and my wife is using drugs. She brought me to church on our first date and we used to be close to the Lord and to each other. I worry about her. Please pray for us. Thank you.” (She signed Justin up for BSBM’s studies too, on 11/21/2018.) Praise God – “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (Jas. 4:8)! Pray Justin & Danielle fall on their knees & cry out to God.

Saturday, 23rd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On July 13, at 11:13 PM, new student hopeful Anthony L… e-mailed: “By studying the word of God, I hope my relationship with Him will increase. Maybe someday I’ll be going into the ministry as a pastor/preacher.” (First study was mailed on 7-14-22.) Praise God – “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness,” (2 Tim. 3:16)! Pray Anthony does his Bible lessons & lives out his salvation.
