January 24 – 30

January 24 – 30

And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all the nations. Mark 13:10

Sunday, 24th: 1-14-21 B.S.B.M. Well, I’ve finally arrived at my new address. I would like to restart my lessons where I left off. I’ve been doing your studies for quite sometime and they have been a comfort to me and given me insight and knowledge. I’ve learned the hard lessons of disobedience to God. I know I’ll never be a criminal again. I will be a good man. God did that for me. So, I’m done with my federal time… transferring to state prison to finish my time there. Just knowing there’s good godly people out there really gives me hope. The Lord is working through you, David G…

Praise God – “He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 1:8)! Pray David finds his daily strength in the Lord through prayer, Bible study and obedience.

Monday, 25th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Stephanie M… (age 35) wrote: “We don’t get to Heaven by only doing good deeds. We get to Heaven by having faith in Jesus and asking forgiveness for our sins. Yes. 1-13-21” (first lessons mailed 1-6-21)

Praise God – “For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.” (Romans 3:28)! Pray Stephanie rereads her first study booklet to see that her good works play no part in saving her.

Tuesday, 26th: Pray my son finds the right path. He’s only 8. Pray our Heavenly father helps my husband with his anger issues. Please pray that I don’t hang on to my husband’s hurtful words that he says out of anger and that I can let go of them easily. Pray my husband and I stay on the right path with our Heavenly father. Prayerfully yours, Jamie R… (she sent this letter 1-10-21)

Praise God – “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” (Eph. 6:18)! Pray Jamie holds fast in her faith & finds a listening godly mentor.

Wednesday, 27th: Pedro A… updated BSBM with his brother Jacob A…’s new jail address. BSBM’s Online Coordinator, Rachael Hein, notified Pedro when it was done. Pedro replied: “Rachael, thank you for your faithfulness. I want you to know that all you do for the inmates is a blessing. I know because 5 years ago, I too was an inmate and I enjoyed the Bible studies that were sent to me.”

Praise God – “And do not neglect to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Heb. 13:16)! Pray Pedro and Jacob keep in touch with each other and boldly share the gospel with joy.

Thursday, 28th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Robert D… wrote: “God can save me by what he’s done. I must come as a sinner to Jesus. Yes. 12-18-20” (first lessons mailed 12-9-20)

Praise God – “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)! Pray Robert receives his next 4 lessons without any prison mail restrictions. Pray he finds other believers to share with.

Friday, 29th: Clarence H… (age 65): “I’ve now set aside time at 6:00 AM each morning to pray, read and talk with God. I’m using 3×5 cards to learn verses. Thank you for these lessons. GOD IS GOOD!”

Praise God – ““Return to Me,” says the LORD of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 1.3b)! Pray Clarence personally accepts Christ’s daily word which cleanses his mind.

Saturday, 30th: Tammy A… requested studies for herself and her two children and they were mailed on 12-9-20. January 1, 2021, she emailed saying nothing had arrived. January 4th, we mailed their studies again. Two weeks later we had Kaylee’s worksheets. She’s 12-years-old and she wrote that she had received the Lord Jesus as her Savior while doing the lesson.

Praise God – “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:9)! Pray Tammy, Kaylee and Amber keep studying their next lessons and talk about their faith.
