February 7 – 13

“Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.” Psalm 86:11

Sunday, 7th: February 4th, office phone rings…“Hello, my name is Robert J…  I am one of your students. I have COVID and I’ve been hospitalized in your city since January 28th. I’ll be late returning my study test sheets to you. Pray for my recovery, please!” (he is 62 and from Alamogordo, New Mexico USA)

Praise God – “Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers.” (3 John 1:2)! Pray Robert finds daily strength through Bible reading, prayer and sharing Christ.

Monday, 8th: Genesis L… is 8-years-old. Her dad enrolled her for Bible studies on January 13th. At the end of her first lesson, Genesis is asked: HAVE YOU TAKEN THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? WHEN? She wrote: “Yes, when I was reading this.”

Praise God – “Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (Mark 10:15)! Pray Genesis keeps doing the Bible studies; pray her parents talk about them with her.

Tuesday, 9th: “My name is Shaunda W… TDOC # 601026. I have been enrolled in your Bible studies and wanted to ask if you could please write me a letter of recommendation. It would be greatly appreciated. My parole hearing is scheduled for April.” (enrolled by Lisa T…, on the outside, Shaunda has enrolled four other inmates)

Praise God – “Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him.” (Psalm 62:5)! Pray Shaunda starts each day on her knees, in prayer, reading God’s word and seeking His strength and guidance.

Wednesday, 10th: “Gracias por la ayuda que ustedes me han brindado [Thank you for the help you have offered me]. I don’t have money. Thank you for the envelope with stamp. José C… (he’s a diligent student, doing the sixth Spanish course WINNING THE RACE OF LIFE)

Praise God – “Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth.” (1 John 3:18)! Pray José generously shares God’s message of hope and love with fellow inmates and guard personnel.

Thursday, 11th: “1/23/21 Hello, thank you so much for answering my previous questions. I am growing in my faith. Sadly, it took my evil ways to show me God’s love for me. God never ran from me. I ran from Him. As someone who has suffered the fear of abandonment for many, many years, this is a GREAT feeling to know He will never leave me! It literally brings tears to my eyes every time I think of it. I live in a large room with 72 other inmates. My bunkie is an atheist and says I am stupid to believe in God. He has noticed how much peace I have and has commented about how jealous he is. He is surrounded by misery, fake friends and uses drugs to handle his misery. I try to evangelize him and those of other religions. We have several Muslims here. Any insight on how to handle these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, William S… (sent a bunch of helpful literature on 2/2/21)

Praise God – “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deut. 31:6)! Pray William stands firm on God’s promise.

Friday, 12th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN?  New student inmate Angélica C… (age 36) wrote: “The son of God loved us so much, he became a man to die for our sins. Yes, 01-20-2021” (lessons sent on 1/14/21)

Praise God – “For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” (1 Peter 3:18a)! Pray Angélica keeps studying, finds other believers and cuts ungodly friendships.

Saturday, 13th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 1 at 9:50 AM, new student hopeful Andrew W… e-mailed: “I want to learn to walk in God’s way planned for me and to share the word.”

Praise God – “Pray that the LORD your God will tell us the way we should walk and the thing we should do.” (Jeremiah 42:3)! Pray Andrew studies diligently, seeking the Lord’s guidance, wisdom and courage.
