April 24 – 30

April 24 – 30

Satisfy us in the morning with Your loving devotion, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:14

Sunday, 24th: 1) WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD? 2) WHAT DOES JOHN 1:12 MEAN TO YOU? On April 18, at 12:46 AM, Australian new student hopeful Louis W… e-mailed: “Learn about Jesus and what the Bible says. I don’t understand what John 1:12 says.” (First studies mailed on 4-19-22.) Praise God – “But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12)! Pray Louis reads his studies, sees the truth, repents & believes in Christ.

Monday, 25th: Inmate Michael H… sent a letter last week: “Can I please be enrolled in the Bible studies to help me grow in Christ? My daughter Haylee L… is in another prison and I think she would also like these. Please send her some too.” (On 4-19-22, Bible study packets were mailed to Florida and Indiana.) Praise God – “Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph 6:4)! Pray Michael & Haylee do their studies & surrender their lives to God.

Tuesday, 26th: Some of an inmate’s letter: “1) …; 2) …; 3) …; 4) …; 5) … [Me llegaron solo hasta esos estudios] I only got those studies and I want to continue. Please send me the next course. I would appreciate it very much since these studies have helped to strengthen me in my new life in Cristo. Gracias, José L… (Study booklets #1 and #2 of the sixth course was mailed to him on 1-21-22; they were remailed on 4-14-22.) Praise God – “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for Thee, O God.” (Psalm 42:1)! Pray José got his next study booklets; pray he encourages inmates to study along with him or on their own.

Wednesday, 27th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student inmate Carlos M… (age 41) wrote: “I have to put God first in my life and repent to restore order and follow the right path. Through Jesus is the only way. Yes. April 5th 2022.” (Studies mailed on 3-24-22.) Praise God – “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10)! Pray Carlos rereads lessons as he waits for new ones; pray he memorizes verses.

Thursday, 28th: Inmate Daniel L… sent another letter in with his completed study worksheets: “[Quiero agradecer] I want to thank you for the Bible studies I am receiving. They are a blessing to me. I want my family to have the opportunity to receive them also and to be able to study them together when I get home. I want to enroll my future wife, Margarita P…  Her address is …Arizona.” (Daniel was mailed his first Bible studies on 11/2/21; he did them and indicated he had received Jesús as his Salvador on 11/5/21; his four children, ages 10 to 14, were mailed lessons on 1/5/22 – none completed yet; Margarita was mailed lessons on 4/12/22.) Praise God – “I waited patiently for the LORD; He inclined to me and heard my cry.” (Psalm 40:1)! Pray Daniel writes his children and shares his testimony; pray Margarita does her studies and asks God to save her.

Friday, 29th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? It’s the question asked to Karen R… and all our students, after completing each of their four lessons in a mailing. Karen wrote: “Jesus Christ is Lord of all and He is my Lord. We were slaves of sin and Satan until the Lord purchased us. My righteousness is because I am in Christ. He entered Heaven to appear for us in the presence of God. I loved these lessons! I am always learning! 😊Praise God – “For Christ did not enter a man-made copy of the true sanctuary, but He entered heaven itself, now to appear on our behalf in the presence of God.” (Heb 9:24)! Pray Karen starts a home Bible study.

Saturday, 30th: “Can you please continue helping me with Bible studies and stamped envelopes? I am indigent and have no money at all. Joshua C…” (On 6/17/14, as a 2-month-old in Christ, he began studying in jail; still incarcerated, he’s doing BSBM’s studies for the 3rd time; he’s bi-lingual and helps other inmates to study.) Praise God – “But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (Heb 3:13)! Pray Joshua continues to study God’s word & share Christ’s love.
