April 17 – 23

Easter Sunday, 17th: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student Mary B… (age 50) wrote: “I am saved by what God did for me through Jesus. I’ll have eternal life and there will be no more sickness, pain or weeping. Yes, on 03-27-22.” (1st studies mailed on 3/21/22) Praise God – “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Rev. 21:4)! Pray Mary studies diligently.

Monday, 18th: “04-03-22 Muchas gracias [Many thanks] for your time spent to send me the Bible studies. I love reading them a lot because I am learning the word of God and it is helping me mucho [a lot]. Two of my cellmates want to receive the Bible studies. Santa R… #… and Maribel S… #… It is such a blessing for us in prison to have people like you. Many blessings, Mirna T…” Praise God – “When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?” (Matt. 25:39)! Pray Mirna, Santa & Maribel receive their lessons without prison mailroom difficulties; pray they study, share and pray together.

Tuesday, 19th: “I originally was writing to you from ___, Texas. In December, I sent y’all the last of my Bible studies to receive my 3rd certificate but I left that county before I could receive it. I was wondering if I could have that certificate sent to me, as well as my new course? Y’all have helped me in my growth and I would like to continue. Respectfully your brother in Christ, Tylor P…” (He was transferred to a different Texas prison.) Praise God – “And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’” (Matt. 25:40)! Pray Tylor finds followers of Christ in his new prison facility.

Wednesday, 20th: Cassie C… shared: “The most important thing I have learned was that money doesn’t make us happy. If God wants us to have something, if it be His will, we will get it. I mainly learned that I should be happy with the things I do have and be thankful to God for what He has given me.” Praise God – “Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)! Pray Cassie talks with her friends and neighbors and invites them to a home Bible study.

Thursday, 21st: “My prayers are being answered. My lawyer called and we talked for 30 minutes. Our time ended with him praying for me. I told him about your Bible studies that I was doing and how you would be sending me a letter of recommendation. He was ecstatic to hear that and asked it be sent to him at …Texas. Thank y’all so much! In Christ, Johnathan S…” Praise God – “In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from Your sight!” But You heard my plea for mercy when I called to You for help.” (Psalm 31:22)! Pray Johnathan keeps His mindset on Christ daily, trusting Him alone.

Friday, 22nd: “I’m just now getting back into my Bible. My Mom passed away in September. I’ve had so much going on since then. I believe this would help me greatly. Thanks, Billie R…” (she started up where she left off) Praise God – “Let us hold resolutely to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)! Pray Billie get involved in a local Bible-teaching church and shares Christ’s good news boldly.

Saturday, 23rd: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED? HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR? and WHEN? New student Kathi N… (age 68) wrote: “I must be good to go to Heaven. I am trying. Reading all this makes me excited about dying. Yes, on April 4, 2022. I go to church. I pray every day. I read my Bible. I try to be good. If I go to Heaven, will I get to see my pets, also? I am looking forward to seeing all my loved ones.” (1st studies mailed 3/24/22; 2nd studies mailed 4/11/22 with extra reading on how to be saved and with counsel to reread Lesson #2 in her 1st study booklet.) Praise God – “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” (Rom. 3:24)! Pray Kathi rereads Heaven: How To Get There; pray she sees her salvation is granted as God’s gift only.
