I would appreciate it.” (Her letter was received and her first study sent on 4-10-2024.) Praise God – “Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who ignores reproof goes astray.” (Proverbs 10:17)! Pray Helen does her studies, attends a local church and gets her license and a job.

Monday, 15^th: Daisy C… returned her first study test pages by email on 4/8/24. She shared her heart: “The journey to knowing and coming to love Christ is beautiful – I’m in the beginning stages. I feel both nervous and excited to progress along. I have come to accept that I am a sinner. It is one thing to read about Christ’s sacrifice, but it’s another thing to comprehend the weight of such a selfless act. I will traverse this journey with no trepidation as to who is my Lord and Savior.” (Her next 4 lessons were mailed on 4/9/24.) Praise God – “We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” (Luke 23:41)! Pray Daisy keeps studying and finds a Bible-believing church to attend.

Tuesday, 16^th: “To whom it may concern: I am incarcerated at … California. I am facing a twenty-to-thirty-year sentence and I want a triumphant return back into society. I am asking for your Bible studies by mail. I want to sow seeds for my success after prison. I pray for strength and guidance every day from the Holy Spirit. Praise God – “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57)! Student Michelle M… shared: “I learned that Christ lives in us by His Spirit… that God delivered me from my sins by laying them on His Son on the cross… that Christ is the Accomplisher of all God’s plan… that God has given Christ to me as my righteousness.” Praise God – “When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit.” (John 19:30)! The happiest day in His story, is Jesus’s resurrection and victory over death. Thanks, Chaplain Kevin B…” (4/4/24 – Go ahead given for Michael to have his next studies.) Praise God – “And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (Jn 14:13)! Inmate David A… (age 51) wrote: “The thing that struck me the most was that out of all the pieces of armor only one was for offense and the others were for defense – the word of God being the sword of the Spirit. Jesus’s use of it against Satan’s attacks was very efficient. I intend on using it the same way.” Praise God – “Your word, O LORD, is everlasting; it is firmly fixed in the heavens.” (Psa 119:89)! On March 5, at 6:21 PM, new student hopeful Cheryl M… e-mailed: “I want to get to know Jesus and learn more about God. I want to introduce the word of God to my grandchildren – Zayden C… (age 9), Kashya S… (age 8) and Sakeirra S… (age 5).” (First study booklets mailed on 3-7-24.) Praise God – “Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.” (Psalm 34:11)! Pray Cheryl studies her lessons and then helps Zayden, Kashya and Sakeirra to complete their lessons also.

Sunday, 3^rd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 22, at 2:52 AM, new student hopeful Jean L… e-mailed: “I hope to learn about redemption and being a better person as I have trespassed against my neighbours and I am concerned I have led a life of sin until this moment.” (First studies mailed to her, on the other side of the big pond, on 2/22/24 at 9:45 AM) Praise God – “The time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!” (Mark 1:15)! Pray Jean does her Bible lessons; pray she hears the gospel clearly, repents and believes.

Monday, 4^th: “I have a few prayer requests. My name is Samantha C… I am 22 years old. I am currently locked up. I need prayer that I can get my release date. I pray it happens soon so I can go home to my 2-year-old daughter Amylah. I pray for my sobriety to maintain when I go home. I pray for my marriage to prosper and stay healthy. I pray for my relationship with God to grow stronger!” (We sent extra reading material along with her next Bible study booklets on February 28, 2024) Praise God – “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Rom 15:13)! Pray Samantha trusts Christ alone.

Tuesday, 5^th: Inmate Aishia P… returned her study worksheets and sent a letter: “Sorry this is so late! I was under medical observation since a week before Christmas. I got cleared and I’m back in my pod but I will still have surgery late in March or April. So, lots and lots of prayers would be appreciated. I do want to continue in my studies because my faith in God is keeping me strong. Once again, sorry this is so late! Thank you for understanding.” (Seven weeks had passed between sending her the 4 lessons and receiving her worksheets) Praise God – “I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.”” (Psalm 16:2)! Pray Aishia shares God’s message of hope among cellmates; pray she helps others signup to study too.

Wednesday, 6^th: Inmate Christopher H… (age 48) sent a letter with his study worksheets on 2/28/2024. He wrote: “I would like to let you know that these Bible studies have been an inspiration to me. My fellow brothers in here would like to start these lessons from the first course… Michal P… and Jonathan H… Thank you for your time.” (Christopher is a 3-year-old in Christ) Praise God – “We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” (Col. 1:28)! Pray Christopher, Michal & Jonathan share the gospel boldly.

Thursday, 7^th: “Hello, I am Devin S… I have been through a lot in life. I have been saved and baptized many times and I’m yet to get my life right with Christ. I’ve been beating myself and I’ve felt like I’m an enemy of God. So, I’m asking for prayer and a Bible study guide so I can learn more of God.” (Sent study on 2/26/24) Praise God – “Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.” (Col. 3:5)! Pray Devin studies & seeks out a believer.

Friday, 8^th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Cynthia B… wrote: “That we have only one Savior and that is Jesus Christ and by accepting Him as our Savior we have eternal life through Him. Through these lessons I now know that after repenting and accepting Jesus in my heart that I am now a child of God. Yes. February 16, 2024.” (This first study was mailed to her on 2/1/24) Praise God – “Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin.” (Romans 3:20)! Pray Cynthia keeps studying and begins to share the gospel in love.

Saturday, 9^th: “I’ve been a believer my whole life, but as you can tell, I have made some mistakes. I’ve been incarcerated for 15 months of a 10-year sentence. Could you help me in my Bible education? Michael H…” Praise God – “Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.” (Psalm 86:11)! Pray Michael studies diligently and shares Christ intentionally.

Praise God – “Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.” (Psalm 100:3)! Inmate Daron J… (age 33) wrote: “You cannot make it to Heaven without faith in Jesus Christ. Yes, I prayed and asked Jesus to come into my life two weeks ago on Friday, January 26, 2024.” (He wrote a letter requesting Bible studies that we mailed to him on 2/17/2024.) Praise God – “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)! Tuesday, 27^th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Patrice L… wrote: “I’ve learned that those who believe in Jesus are declared righteous by the Judge of the universe. We are justified from ALL things. This means that every sin has been forgiven… full forgiveness from our past, present and future sins. Jesus died for all of them. Thank You Jesus!” Praise God – “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21)! Wednesday, 28^th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 17, at 5:50 AM, new student hopeful Laura C… e-mailed: “I was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure. It really makes you reevaluate how you live your life. Is there anything after death? How can I redeem myself with God? I also struggle with depression and anxiety.” (First two studies mailed on 2/21/2024. Title of Lesson #1 – “Who Is Jesus Christ?” Title of Lesson #2 – “Heaven: How To Get There”) Praise God – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)! Pray Laura reads, studies and meditates on God’s word that is taught in her first study booklet.

Thursday, 29^th: Jena N… requested studies on October 17, 2023. She emailed: “I hope I can learn the Bible because I will teach it back to my children.” Jena studies diligently and then emails pics of her Test Pages to the office. Here is the most important thing she learned in her last lesson: “I learned the branch can do nothing without the vine. All that the branch possesses belongs to the vine.” Praise God – “I am Yours; save me, for I have sought Your precepts.” (Psalm 119:94)! Pray Jena keeps studying and begins to teach all she is learning to her children; pray she joins a Bible-teaching church one day.

Friday, 1^st: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Twyla M… wrote: “Your presentation on how to get to Heaven has given me confidence to share the gospel, and the in-depth explanation given on how we know God exists has given me tools I need to pass on to nonbelievers.” Praise God – “And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all the nations.” (Mark 13:10)! Pray Twyla keeps studying and is encouraged to start a home Bible study with her friends, neighbors and acquaintances.

Sunday, 18^th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 8, at 9:41 AM, new student hopeful Devra L… e-mailed: “I stopped somewhere and drifted and now I feel so far away I can’t connect. I surrendered to Christ and was saved while in jail and my life was changed. Then somewhere down the road about 5 years I began slacking off in everything… until here I am 5 years later and scared my heart is too hardened. I need help with studying because I don’t know how to do that actually. So, prayer and a place to start by getting lessons would be my request. I NEED TO KNOW HIM.” (Sent on 2/14/24.) Praise God – “Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:12)! Pray Devra finds a Bible-teaching church and a godly mentor; pray she studies and memorizes verses.

Monday, 19^th: Sent from a Prison on February 5^th – “I would like to participate in your Bible study program. I am trying to learn more about the Bible on my journey to becoming more like the image of God. Please and thank you! Jamale R…” (Study sent on 2/12/24.) Praise God – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jer. 29:11)! Pray Jamale does the study and obeys God’s voice.

Tuesday, 20^th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 9, at 8:32 AM, new student hopeful Jean H… e-mailed: “To help me understand all that is going on in the world today. It certainly seems like God is preparing for the end times… I never thought I would see all the signs that are quoted in the Bible that are coming true today. I want to learn more.” (Study sent on 2/15/24.) Praise God – “We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first.” (Hebrews 3:14)! José A…” (He is an inmate; began to study on 10/26/2023; born again 01/05/2024.) Praise God – “They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, declares the LORD, to deliver you.” (Jeremiah 1:19)! Pray José shares his faith & the gospel with his cellmates.

Thursday, 22^nd: “My name is Michael M… I am interested in taking your Bible studies by mail courses. I would be a good student. First, I went to St D… Catholic church school grades 1 – 12. I was an altar boy grades 5 – 8. I did the services for a couple weddings and a few funerals. I graduated and went through ups and downs and found myself here in C… Men’s Jail. They tell me it’s all part of God’s plan.” (Sent 2/12/24.) Praise God – “For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”” (Romans 1:17)! Pray Michael studies, repents & believes.

Friday, 23^rd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS LESSON? Maria C… wrote: “I am excited to know that through my faith in Jesus Christ, I will one day have a resurrected body that is like His and that I won’t have all the illnesses I deal with daily now.” (Began to study on 6/23/2022 as an unbeliever; born again on 9/19/2023 while studying the 5^th course; she’s currently studying course #6. PTL!!!) Praise God – “And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the heavenly Man.” (1 Corinthians 15:49)! Saturday, 24^th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 11, at 9:54 PM, new student hopeful Rynea P… e-mailed: “I want a better understanding of the Bible and a better understanding of Jesus and religion, so I can lead a better life.” (Sent studies to 4 of them on 2/15/24.) Praise God – “The rewards of humility and the fear of the LORD are wealth and honor and life.” (Proverbs 22:4)! Pray Rynea and her three children ages 9 to 15 study together; pray they go to a good church.

Sunday, 11^th: Tom B… requested Bible studies way back on November 15, 2021. On February 5, 2024 we received this letter: “Dear Darryl Evans, I have the first lessons that I’ll be sending soon. Umm I do however have many questions. Umm if God wants to enhance our lives with love and joy, why can one person murder another person in a split second and then give false testimony? Why do bad things happen to good people, to people who are close to God, who do good things in their life for others? I have known great sorrow in my life. I treat others the way Jesus would. Even though I do that I have been mistreated by others more so than not. So, I hope you can help me.” (I emailed Tom, on February 5^th, and put him in contact with four online ministries.) Praise God – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.” (Matthew 5:11)! Pray Tom studies his Bible and lessons; pray he goes to church.

Monday, 12^th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 3, at 6:35 PM, new student hopeful Sandy C… e-mailed: “How to grow closer to the Lord and learn how to turn my life around so that I’m doing everything I need to do to be a Christian. I used to study years ago but I lost my way. I know He hasn’t stopped loving me or given up on me.” (Resent her Bible lessons on 02/08/24.) Praise God – “Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”” (John 6:29)! Pray Sandy studies her lessons with her Bible in hand; pray she memorizes key verses and shares the gospel.

Tuesday, 13^th: “01/29/2024 [Queridos hermanos] Dear brethren, my name is Jesús L… I am letting you know that I’ve been released from prison and I am back home now. I want to continue preparing myself because thanks to you I found Jesucristo as my Salvador and Señor. I ask you to send my Bible studies to … California. I so want to move forward with the help of the Lord.” (Mailed his lessons to his home on 02/05/24.) Praise God – “This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him; He saved him from all his troubles.” (Psalm 34:6)! Pray Jesús keeps studying, finds a Bible-teaching church & employment & joyfully shares Cristo.

Wednesday, 14^th: “Mr. Evans, Well, I am nearing the end of this phase of my Christian rehab program. These Bible studies and the scriptures and your personal correspondence were a part of my program. In 11 days, I get my cellphone back and get a job. I am sort of anxious. It has been over 3 and a half years. Keep me in your prayers. I’ll be getting a job at ______ Farms processing chickens. Your brother in Christ, Kyle S…” Praise God – “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.” (Psalm 125:2)! Pray Kyle sends BSBM his new mailing address & finds a fellow believer at work.

Thursday, 15^th: Paul always sends his completed Test Pages by email. On February 6^th he sent four Test Pages and shared: “These Bible study booklets that you offer are an amazing source of learning and inspiration in regards to all the fulfilled prophecies of Christ. Thank you for these booklets! In Christian love, Paul W…” Praise God – “Then a shoot will spring up from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.” (Isaiah 11:1)! Pray Paul encourages his friends, neighbors and enemies to sign up for Bible studies.

Friday, 16^th: Linda O… wrote this on the back side of her study’s Test Page: “I am enjoying these lessons a lot. Prayers please. My partner is dying of terminal cancer. The doctor says less than a year.” Praise God – “Although God overlooked the ignorance of earlier times, He now commands all people everywhere to repent.” (Acts 17:30)! Pray Linda reads to her partner from her Bible, study booklets & tracts.

Saturday, 17^th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On February 4, at 7:32 PM, new student hopeful Timothy Y… e-mailed: “I hope to learn to live a righteous life and to walk in the light of Christ.” (First study sent on 02/08/24.) Praise God – “He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)!
