“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
Sunday, 5th: New student Leonardo… wrote: “I am very happy you sent me the first study. I am originally from Puebla, México and I’ve been incarcerated for 15 months. This month I go to court for my sentencing and I may be moved to another prison. I would like to receive more studies wherever they move me and I have your address. I like the form of this study because each verse is explained and the passages are put into topics. Don’t send more studies to this address, because I may not be here.” (In closing, he gave us his family’s address and the names of his wife and four daughters.)
Praise God – He desires everyone knows where they’re going after their earth-time! Pray Leonard and his family spend time reading and studying God’s Map to Heaven, the Bible.
Monday, 6th: Inmate Alverado… filled a page sharing his testimony: “The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God. His purpose in coming to earth was to suffer and die on the cross. He shed His blood to pay the ultimate price, so that we could be cleansed of our sins. He paid the price for us, because of His great love for us. I belong to Him and only Him. I serve Him and only Him. He dwells in me and I in Him for eternity, because I believe in Him and have received Him as my Savior. He is my Lord.”
Praise God – He did it all, because we couldn’t do anything to save our souls! Pray Alverado spends time in God’s word each day and pray he shares the message of God’s salvation with others.
Tuesday, 7th: Angel’s SEE & DO I lessons were returned for grading last week. At the end of lesson 5, Angel was asked: ‘Have you asked the Lord Jesus to come into your heart?’ and ‘When?’ Here are the two given answers: “Yes.” and “August 28, 2010.” (His parents are new believers since April 2010.)
Praise God – His Family is expanding! Pray 6 year old Angel and his Dad & Mom continue to do their Bible lessons together, throughout the week, and to attend their church meetings.
Wednesday, 8th: “The reason I am writing is I want to know if I can enroll in your Bible studies. I am currently incarcerated and I ask for your prayers. I believe in God. I just saw the legal officer and only God can give me my freedom. I thank all of you for helping the lost. I love you in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Juan…”
Praise God – The peace He gives is lasting, it’s not like the peace man gives! Pray Juan keeps focused on his Bible studies and on living out God’s purpose for his life where he’s at today.
Thursday, 9th: On August 20th, inmate Shawn… shared his testimony when asked to do so: “How I truly came to know the Lord. I was in a motorcycle accident in 2008 and almost died. I knew I had to change. I sincerely prayed to the Father, please forgive me. I meant this one 100%. I knew I was a sinner. I have been different since that day and truly can’t stop talking about the Lord.”
Praise God – He knows the intent of one’s prayer before the supplication is formed! Pray Shawn grows strong in his walk and talk as a believer, giving daily time to study and prayer.
Friday, 10th: “These lessons are great. I read them over again after I take the test. On this new series, I like the Quiet Time Part. It’s a neat way of studying the word. Robert…” (He is an inmate.)
Praise God – He has a purpose for everyone, wherever they are, when they repent and believe. Pray Robert starts each day on his knees, surrendering his new day’s activities to the Lord.
Saturday, 11th: A letter from a California inmate reads: “My name is Shelly… and I just asked God back into my heart. I have been reading my Bible. I want to learn about Jesus and how I can live my life like God wants me to. I am tired of my old life. Can I please have a Bible study?”
Praise God – He has a FREE offer extended to whosoever believeth, New Life in Christ! Pray Shelly’s faith grows, as she studies. Pray she sees God’s word as vital to her spiritual wellbeing.
