“1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” Psalm 139
Sunday, 27th: “Señores, I wish these studies for my children and wife. They are in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua. I would like the courses to be in Spanish because we want to know and receive Cristo in our hearts. Thanks for giving us your attention, Angel…” (He indicated having accepted Christ as his personal Savior when doing his first Bible study in jail. He then put this note in with the study’s test sheet.)
Praise God – His Family is growing numerically around the world! Pray Angel and his family follow Christ’s teaching & find a Bible-teaching church in Cd. Juárez, the most dangerous city in N.A.
Monday, 28th: “Bible Studies By Mail: I love this program. It has helped me in so many ways. The address I’m at is not where I’ll be. And the problem is I don’t know where I’ll be till I get there. So, if maybe my Bible studies could be held off until I get to where I’m going. Here are some women who would like to join, Anastasia… Brandy… Maria… Sincerely, Kira…” (They are inmates.)
Praise God – He gives His children personal security in times of extreme distress! Pray Kira, Anastasia, Brandy and Maria each come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Tuesday, 29th: When asked at the end of his first lesson, ‘Have you received Jesus Christ as your Savior?’ and ‘When?’, 22 year old inmate Oscar… wrote: “Sí, Right now I receive Him.”
Praise God – He hears and responds to every repentant believer’s cry for salvation! Pray Oscar studies God’s word diligently and shares his faith with fellow inmates, friends and his family.
Wednesday, 30th: ‘What is the most important thing you have learned in this lesson?’ “To walk by faith and not by sight and to always have joy in my life. I can relate to the feeling I get when things are not joyful but troublesome and when I am so happy I can continually thank the Lord Jesus all day and all night (never ending happiness). People call me weird, but I understand that they have yet to feel this JOY. I’ll keep praying for all that they may find the Way, the Truth and the Life. Yours always, Cheryl…”
Praise God – His born-again procedure for whosoever believeth is life changing! Pray Cheryl encourages her spiritually lost and wayward friends to study God’s word as she is.
Thursday, 1st: Inmate Charles… wrote; “I have a question. I notice there were no animal sacrifices in the New Testament. When did these practices stop and why? Thank you for your time and care for us who are incarcerated.”
Praise God – His written word filled with facts provides solid ground for building faith! Pray Charles earnestly studies his Bible and lessons, searching God’s word to answer any questions.
Friday, 2nd: “My name is Juan… I have been waiting for my next studies for some time now and I would like to know if they’ve been sent already or if maybe they got lost. I hope to hear news pronto.” (His lessons were sent April 5th & resent May 27th, the day we received this note. We’re still waiting for his tests.)
Praise God – His precious, living word meets our God given hunger and thirst for life! Pray Juan receives his studies. Pray the obstruction to Bible study mailings for many inmates is removed.
Saturday, 3rd: Mary… wrote the following at the end of her last study sheet: “Please pray for my great-nephew Elijah. He is 3 years and 9 months old and has been diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome which could cause him problems through his life. Pray for him and his family.”
Praise God – He encourages His children to pray about every thing and worry about nothing! Pray Elijah’s family meets with God’s people in their home town to pray for his complete healing.
