Sunday, 27th: “Señores, I wish these studies for my children and wife. They are in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua. I would like the courses to be in Spanish because we want to know and receive Cristo in our hearts. Thanks for giving us your attention, Angel… (He indicated having accepted Christ as his personal Savior when doing his first Bible study in jail. He then put this note in with the study’s test sheet.)

            Praise God – His Family is growing numerically around the world! Pray Angel and his family follow Christ’s teaching & find a Bible-teaching church in Cd. Juárez, the most dangerous city in N.A.

Monday, 28th: “Bible Studies By Mail: I love this program. It has helped me in so many ways. The address I’m at is not where I’ll be. And the problem is I don’t know where I’ll be till I get there. So, if maybe my Bible studies could be held off until I get to where I’m going. Here are some women who would like to join, Anastasia… Brandy… Maria…  Sincerely, Kira… (They are inmates.)

            Praise God – He gives His children personal security in times of extreme distress! Pray Kira, Anastasia, Brandy and Maria each come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Tuesday, 29th: When asked at the end of his first lesson, ‘Have you received Jesus Christ as your Savior?’ and ‘When?’, 22 year old inmate Oscar… wrote: “Sí, Right now I receive Him.”

            Praise God – He hears and responds to every repentant believer’s cry for salvation! Pray Oscar studies God’s word diligently and shares his faith with fellow inmates, friends and his family.

Wednesday, 30th: ‘What is the most important thing you have learned in this lesson?’ “To walk by faith and not by sight and to always have joy in my life. I can relate to the feeling I get when things are not joyful but troublesome and when I am so happy I can continually thank the Lord Jesus all day and all night (never ending happiness). People call me weird, but I understand that they have yet to feel this JOY. I’ll keep praying for all that they may find the Way, the Truth and the Life. Yours always, Cheryl…

            Praise God – His born-again procedure for whosoever believeth is life changing! Pray Cheryl encourages her spiritually lost and wayward friends to study God’s word as she is.

Thursday, 1st: Inmate Charles… wrote; “I have a question. I notice there were no animal sacrifices in the New Testament. When did these practices stop and why? Thank you for your time and care for us who are incarcerated.”

            Praise God – His written word filled with facts provides solid ground for building faith! Pray Charles earnestly studies his Bible and lessons, searching God’s word to answer any questions.

Friday, 2nd: “My name is Juan… I have been waiting for my next studies for some time now and I would like to know if they’ve been sent already or if maybe they got lost. I hope to hear news pronto.” (His lessons were sent April 5th & resent May 27th, the day we received this note. We’re still waiting for his tests.)

            Praise God – His precious, living word meets our God given hunger and thirst for life! Pray Juan receives his studies. Pray the obstruction to Bible study mailings for many inmates is removed.

Saturday, 3rd: Mary… wrote the following at the end of her last study sheet: “Please pray for my great-nephew Elijah. He is 3 years and 9 months old and has been diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome which could cause him problems through his life. Pray for him and his family.”

            Praise God – He encourages His children to pray about every thing and worry about nothing! Pray Elijah’s family meets with God’s people in their home town to pray for his complete healing.

Sunday, 20th: “I would enjoy doing your Bible studies, but I don’t have any stamps to send the answer sheet back… If I just hold on the Lord will make a way. Le Shelia…

            Praise God – His word says that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength! Pray Le Shelia personally applies God’s teaching and seeks to share God’s salvation with others.

Monday, 21st: Inmate David… wrote: “Each lesson we do gives us more understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ. And for me, this is the best. It helps us to draw closer to Him, as He wants, so we may have eternal life.” (He accepted Christ as his Savior while doing his first study in January 2010.)

            Praise God – His sown word faithfully accomplishes His purpose! Pray David sees the importance of daily personal Bible study time using his Bible correspondence courses.

Tuesday, 22nd: “Just a note to thank you for the studies you so graciously send me. It is so great to know that someone out there does care and have love for me besides Christ. I don’t fret or despair for I know God is closer than I think. God is so good! Your brother in Christ, Perry…” (He is an inmate.)

            Praise God – He has enabled BSBM to send out 24,000+ Bible lessons since January 1st! Pray Perry and our 1,500+ other students never take God’s love for granted in spite of their situation.

Wednesday, 23rd: “Dear Bible Studies By Mail, These are some amazing lessons and I hope, one day, I can take them out in the world and use them to bring people to Christ. I have been saved almost a year now and I have seen God move and straighten up things in my life. I know He has done some miracles in my life, since I’ve been here in jail. This guy in here wants your Bible studies also. His name is Tommy… God bless you and God loves you all. Allen…

            Praise God – He has a personal life-purpose & plan prepared for every repentant believer! Pray Allen uses his lockup time wisely; preparing himself through Bible studies and sharing them.

Thursday, 24th: “Dear Brethren, I am writing to thank you once again for the studies you have sent to me all this time. One can’t imagine all I have learned thanks to God and to you. I have now come to realize that God loves everyone wherever they’re at. Sincerely, Enrique… (He is an inmate.)

            Praise God – He demonstrates His own love for us by sending Christ to die for us sinners! Pray Enrique & each of us never let life’s events take our eyes off the Lord’s fields ready to harvest.

Friday, 25th: At the end of his first study, inmate Juan… was asked if he had received the Lord Jesus as his Savior and, if so, when. To this he responded: “Sí. Desde ahora. (Yes. Since now.)

            Praise God – His word clearly maps the one and only secure route to Heaven, Jesus Christ! Pray Juan spends time rereading his study booklets when waiting for the next lessons to arrive.

Saturday, 26th: “Dear brother Darryl Evans, My name is Isidro… The reason I am writing is to thank all of you for the support and help you have given me with this course I just finished LOVE, DATING & MARRIAGE. The study has caused me to think about my past and how it could have been different if I would have had this course 10 or 11 years ago. My wife now has another man. In my blindness, I didn’t know my role as her husband. I have made many mistakes. I’ve been in prison and my life hasn’t been good. I always lived confused. I beg you brethren for guidance because now that I’m all alone I desire to prepare myself to become a better person, better friend, better father and better brother. All this is in my heart and it’s my goal. I know that by having Jesus in my heart as my Savior, I will be able to do it. Every day we have Bible studies here in prison and it helps me a lot.”

            Praise God – He seeks the lost and the wayward because He truly values His Harvest! Pray Isidro studies & applies God’s word each day, so he may reach the goal God has placed in his heart.

Sunday, 13th: “Hello, to whoever can help me. Thank you for understanding this letter. My name is Ernesto… and I’m in the _____ Jail. I am very sad because my wife Magdalena… is all alone and suffering. I came from Ciudad Juárez to find work here and to help her, but I couldn’t and that’s why I’m writing to you. Could you please write her and encourage her? Her address is… I hope you understand me. ¡Gracias!”

            Praise God – He offers real hope to everyone who recognizes their hopeless state! Pray Ernesto and Magdalena cry out to the Lord for help and seek His word for counsel and direction.

Monday, 14th: “I am still here in _____ County Detention Center. I thought I was going home after I went to court and that’s why I gave you my mom’s address. Anyway, until further notice I am still here in jail, so send my next studies here. Can you send more slips to sign up other people for Bible studies? They ask about it and I said I would write. Appreciate your time, Laura…

            Praise God – He gives life-purpose to His children wherever they may be! Pray Laura and her cellmates study God’s word together. Pray Laura finds a Bible-teaching church after being released.

Tuesday, 15th: Inmate Jason… has been studying for a year. When asked in his last study if he was a Christian, he wrote: “No, I am not a Christian. I am a Muslim. Thank you for these studies. Please keep them coming. Maybe these lessons will help to change my mind. Pray for me.”

            Praise God – His word is powerful, always accomplishing His will and bringing Him glory! Pray Jason sees and accepts Jesus as the way, the truth and the life, while studying his lessons this week.

Wednesday, 16th: “Dear Bible Studies By Mail, I would like to receive a Bible school course by mail. My name is Joaquin… My address is ____ County Jail P.O. Box ___ ____, CA. My ID # is ___. Also, if you have any literature about Jesus Christ, I would like to receive it.”

            Praise God – He enables this ministry to send free Bible studies to whoever asks! Pray Joaquin diligently studies lesson 1 WHO IS JESUS CHRIST in his first booklet. It was mailed a week ago.

Thursday, 17th: After completing a course, inmate Pablo… shares how it’s blessed him: “It has been a great blessing, because it’s been my spiritual food and Christ has been my fortress during hard and difficult times. I have received Christ as my Savior and the best of all is that He lives in me and I now have eternal life. For this I say gracias to God and to you for all you do to send me these study booklets. May God bless you.”

            Praise God – the value of His written word goes beyond mere verbal expression! Pray Pablo shares God’s blessings with his family, friends and fellow inmates, inviting them to study lessons also.

Friday, 18th: This month Haile… called again. He needed 2 misplaced study booklets to be resent. He began studying in Eritrea in ‘06. Then after persecution for his faith & being placed in prison camp, he escaped in ‘08. Traveling by foot & boat, he arrived to the US in early 2009. (Name’s been changed.)

            Praise God – He sees, hears, feels and attends to the need of His children worldwide! Pray Henok follows Christ’s teaching. Pray our Eritrean brethren are encouraged. (25 are enrolled for studies.)

Saturday, 19th: “Dear Darryl, Again some good food in these last lessons. I enjoy them and look forward to my next. God is moving mightily in here. No news on my wife, but God is in the driver’s seat. Please continue to pray for her salvation. Your brother in Christ, Robert… (He is an inmate.)

            Praise God – His word holds a treasure of counsel for making eternal investments! Pray Rob becomes grounded in God’s word. Pray for his wife’s salvation. She was just diagnosed with MS.

Sunday, 6th: “My name is Marco… and the reason I’m writing is that I’ve lost my freedom and I want to start changing my life little by little. I want to learn more of God’s word. A friend encouraged me to write you. They say it’s most difficult to take the first steps, so I ask that you help me to learn. The only thing is I don’t speak much English, so hopefully you can send me the course in Spanish. I’m tired of many things and I want to straighten out my life. I think by studying the word and getting to know God I’ll be able to change many bad things in my life. I hope you can help me.” (He is an inmate.)

            Praise God – He causes many lost and wayward who are seeking Him to contact BSBM! Pray Marco has received his first two lessons. Pray he takes the steps of repentance and faith in Jesus.

Monday, 7th: Completing a course, inmate Kim… wrote: “The most important thing I learned in this course is that in spite of my past sins and disobedience, I have a High Priest and Advocate in Jesus Christ. I can and will be forgiven when I believe and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I will have eternal life. God’s word is truth and by Christ’s one-time bodily sacrifice we are washed in the blood of the Lamb. God sanctifies us by Christ’s sacrifice and we are justified.”

            Praise God – He instructs His disciples using the Bible Textbook & the Holy Spirit Teacher! Pray Kim lives out God’s teaching in practical ways among fellow inmates and when writing family.

Tuesday, 8th: Ex-inmate Rosio… wrote: “Just writing to let you know that everything went fine in court, thanks to God. I have another court tomorrow, but I feel everything will be fine. Also I wanted to thank you for your support while in jail. I have learned a lot with the Bible studies and I would like my daughters and son to also start some Bible studies. Well, thank you very much for your help. I could say that it has been a blessing for me and my family.” (The son is 14 & daughters are 10, 9 & 5.)

            Praise God – He can turn difficult sin-circumstances into blessings for Jesus’ followers! Pray Rosio and her 4 children do their studies together. Pray they find a Bible-teaching church to attend.

Wednesday, 9th: “When I started doing your studies, I was serving time in ______ County Jail. Now by the grace of God I’m home with my family and I would love to continue doing this Bible course because it would help me to know more of God’s word on how a born again Christian is to be. My new walk with God has erased my past. A new child in Christ, Brandy…

            Praise God – He alone can erase one’s sin debt & give born again life to the spiritually dead! Pray Brandy gives time to Bible reading and study each day. Pray she finds a Bible-teaching church.

Thursday, 10th: “My name is Carlos… and I would like to ask you the favor of sending me Bible courses. I am a prisoner and my cellmate Martin… encouraged me to write you and ask for studies because he is doing them with you.”

            Praise God – He calls His Church to pray for “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few”! Pray Carlos surrenders his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ while studying his first two Bible lessons.

Friday, 11th: Inmate Heather… shared: “I have always known about Christ, but I never had Him in my heart. I renewed my faith this year in January and ever since I’ve been on fire for the Lord.”

            Praise God – The Bible teaches all repentant sinners how to be born again by the Holy Spirit! Pray Heather shares God’s salvation with her church-going family. Pray she studies diligently.

Saturday, 12th: “It’s a joy to do your studies. Thank you for your time. We pray God’s promised blessings chase you down like the I.R.S. Because of Him, Billy… P.S. Thanks for the stamped envelope P.S.S. I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free, His eye is on the sparrow, And I know that it’s on me.” (He is an inmate.)

            Praise God – Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”! Pray Billy continues to be blessed thru his studies, sharing God’s blessing with others.
